What If? The Black Plague is replaced with a virus that turns all vertebrate-animals & plants with prehistoric mega-versions?

It ONLY affects vertebrate-animals, but not humans, the rest of the invertebrates remain as is and humans are confused as to what's going on

This virus spreads extremely quick and suddenly chickens are getting replaced with velociraptors or becoming a mix of chicken and velociraptor

Dogs become Direwolves

Those going through the ocean have to on occasion deal with being attacked by Megalodons and Pleisosaurs

These mutated animals are immune to any and all "modern" and future diseases and viruses. People eating them don't get horrible side-effects.

They also have versions meant to fit said climates, so overheating's not a problem

How long does human society survive when it somehow rapidly spreads everywhere else?

Nice, that helps our chances then. What's the horse a descendant of? I doubt knights will be able to ride them anymore.

Though I feel bad for the economy of peasants and serfs as their egg supply has just gone kaput.

Ironically, I think horse ancestors were much smaller
