ISOT Storm Reapers (40k White Scars Ultima founding successor chapter) replaces the Atlantis Expedition (SG:A)

So basically assume that Storm Reapers chapter replaces the Atlantis Expedition in SG:A at season 1 and their Chapter takes the entire Atlantis as their fortress monastery. And assume that above Atlantis they gain ship yards for their 3 battle barges, 10 strike cruisers and 30 rapid strike vessels.

Assume they make first contact with the Wraith by traveling through a Stargate and end up awakening them like Atlantis Expedition did in OT. And assume all Chapter serfs, servitors, etc... support personnel are transported also. And also assume that the goal of Storm Reapers is extinction of the Wraith. And they will not receive any external help.

Edit: The Storm Reapers can also of course recruit from the Pegasus galaxy population to maintain their numbers.

The problems would be resupply and growing their numbers fast enough.

The wraith, though, are nomadic space-fairing enemies, and I doubt that lightning marine strikes on their positions will be that useful, since you'd need to take out their hive ships in orbit and IIRC they had very few planet-bound installations.

Lightning strikes on sleeping hives might be more effective, but finding them would be the tricky bit.

In space, firepower-wise Imperium assets outclass hive ships, but numerically the Wraith outnumber the Storm Reapers.
IIRC the biggest formation they could muster was over 60 hive ships to try and take out Atlantis, I think the forces Storm Reapers have should be sufficient, but Warp is slower than hyperspace and dealing with the Wraith in a situation where they choose not to go for an all out battle would be a problem.


I think that the Storm Reapers could take that, but I doubt that it will be the be all end all of Wraith forces and their biggest problem would be expanding their power base and replenishing their ammo.

One big problem for the Space Marines here would be their lack of an ATA gene and their distrust of Xeno and Archeotech.

I can see them getting along well with the Genii and other more extreme elements in Pegasus, though.
