Anybody here have any recommendations for Soulslike-Games?

May not have fully completed them all(as in get to every single level, get every weapon, get every side quest or beat the few bosses remaining), but I've played a good portion of Dark Souls I/II/III, Bloodborne & Sekiro.....yeah there are bosses I simply can't beat and quit due to them

That said, any recs?

Part of why I say Stamina-Bar not-necessary, is because I played Hollow Knight and Hyper Light Drifter, they were still challenging even without a Stamina-Bar

I suppose Shadow of the Colossus is somewhat similar, in that the boss battles (and there are only boss battles, 16 of them) are slow, deliberate, and methodical. Also similar to the Souls game in that there is barely any story and it leaves you to fill in the blanks.

If you can, I would recommend playing the PS2 or PS3 versions of SotC. The PS4 remake screwed up the artstyle and animations. But you can still play with the PS4 version if you really want to.

Don’t have a PS2 or PS3 unfortunately

Thanks for the heads up

I’m trying to play Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice, I think it’s Soulslike but I’m very bored already due to the walking being real slow and it being kinda more story based and being some talk about psychosis of some sort

The remake of Shadows of Colossus is still a pretty decent and faithful adaption of the game I feel. So don't let that put you off.

I would say that Souls-Like is defined by the combat loop of unforgiving resource management. Hyper Light Drifter and Hollow Knight are not souls-like games.

Have you tried getting good?

So Sekiro isn't Soulsborne? Well its lack of a stamina bar and making movement so easy, did make it so much easier to avoid enemies

Have you tried getting good?

Yes.

But it gets exhausting if I go for a few hours or days straight and keep on losing.

I'm not too good with reflexes, but I can see patterns

You can get through Star Wars Jedi Knight Fallen Order well enough though right? :p

Don't have it, haven't been able to go buy PSN since the lockdown

That said, I got through most of Sekiro WITHOUT parrying or doing "Mikiri Counters" same for the other Soulsborne games

I either block or go and use weapons with full-force(two hands)
