Karolinens bön, because it carries the attitude of an early modern soldier, of a religious age, almost perfectly.

Also I love how the Sabaton thread has been moved to the War College. :ROFLMAO:

There's a new episode of Sabaton History out--covering 'Inmate 4859' and Witold Pilecki, who's another of those folks in history that really deserve to be more well-known because of what they did (even if in Pilecki's--and Poland's---case, the Allies did a mass disservice to them at the time). Really like Sabaton for this reason, really--bringing some of these stories more to the fore through music is a hell of a service.

In less historical, more Sabaton-centric (well, Joachim Broaden-centric) affairs...the dude's been doing a bunch of guest spots on other places, and I found one semi-recent one entertaining, despite his spot being, like, one syllable:

I dont know how I'd quite describe Sabaton's music. It doesn't seem to be delineated from heavy metal (like, real metal, not the post hardcore punk that masquerades as metal these days), so much as working backwards from the hardcore scene towards a kind of Thrash sound? I guess?

So, to update this thread.
Sabaton is making a new album.
Tommy left the band, due ti wanting to pursue singing as well and still is in Majestyca.
He is replaced by the guitarist they had for Heros and the Last Stand, Thorbjörn Englund.
Who left in 2016 but was still close with the band, playing in a side band with Tommy, Chris and Hannes.

This isnonly 3 Years after taking over as Guitarist for Civil War
