So, our friendly neighborhood rob wants a piece of you again.

This time though, he has decided that you will be sent to:

1) Dune, 20 years prior to the first book.
2) Star Wars right after the DS1 went boom.
3) Star Trek DS9 around the time of the start of the series.
4) Firefly, prior to the start of the tv series.
5) Babylon 5, one year prior to the E-M war.
6) Schlock mercenary, around the start of the webcomic.
7)Dead Space.
8)Fallout: New Vegas.

You will have to run each scenario with and without whatrver evil hideout or army you might have.

You and your army/lackeys can "borrow" stuff and take "souvenirs" with you. But just large enough to fit the RL airline limitations for hand/cabin baggage.
You will stay for 5 days in each universe, then get transported to the next, this will continue until you manage to "clear" each by either taking over or making some huge impact on the "known universe"

You will have to do this for each villain from the last book, anime, manga, comic book, live action tv show or movie or video game you have consumed, to make things easier ROB says you can limit the choice to 3 media.

In the event that you lack transportation you will either be provided with an in universe mode of transport befitting your station or receive the option to decide where your evil hideout will spawn.

Enjoy!

The last comic I read was Thor #126 but there we're no paticular villains in that story, unless you consider Hercules fighting him for his lady's love, villainous.

It's funny to imagine, though.

Well, the last comic or whatever other media you consumed that had a villain in that case.

It was "the demon" from journey into mystery who got his power from a norn stone.

Thor fucked him up very convincingly, he's a one-shot type villain.

Actually, the last Manga I read was Dai-Dark, and those guys are far more interesting

Neat thread idea (for the most part).

So the last book I read was actually the military science fiction novel War in 2020 which I was covering for this thread here. The villain army thing, if I understand it, means that the villain in that story was the Japanese backed combined armies of ex-Soviet Central Asian Rebels, Iran and an Arab Islamic Union which had multiple Corps of mechanized troops plus extensive support units like gunships and bombers and radar systems and the like. Which sounds formidable... but if they're only allowed a suitcase worth of stuff then they're almost all basically useless. Furthermore, most settings are space based ones so they'd have to be planetbound.

The only place tens of thousands of lightly armed soldiers would make a difference would be in Fallout: New Vegas.I'm sure tens of thousands of troops would be able to make a significant impact in the Mojave region since they'd outnumber everyone but having the Mojave come under the control of Islamic Fundamentalists doesn't sound much better then them coming under the control of Caesar's Legion. But they should be able to seize a considerable swath of territory thanks to their numbers, light arms and pre-organization. Supplying them all with food might be an issue though. But the people with guns tend to eat first anyhow.

But all of that matters not since depending on where they end up, they might not even make it the five days on previous settings. No idea where in particular they'd end up. All of those settings are big places after all and they'd still be reliably planetbound. So maybe the novel is a non-starter.

Television wise the most recent applicable media would be the Disney cartoon Gargoyles. David Xanatos and his wife and his manservant Owen and the Steel Clan I suppose would be the ones here. Skimming over the settings... Dune might be a little too labyrinthine in politics to really get invested in. But they could survive five days I am reliably sure. Same with Star Wars in most locations I feel. Xanatos and company are smart enough to survive in these foreign settings for five days. Star Trek, Babylon 5, Firefly yes as well.

Deadspace, I think probably. Owen might want to level up his wardrobe though. Plus Owen actually being a magical being, I'm not sure how that would interfere with Necromorph stuff... I doubt he's immune to infection but he might be to the mind fuckery properties. Xanatos and the Steel Clan have their power armor as well and ripping and tearing... and lasering is something they already do. Would they be able to solve the Ishimura thing from Dead Space 1 or something? I dunno... I think its possible.

That they'd survive in Fallout: New Vegas would go without saying. Would five days be enough for them to make a significant impact? Again I think so. Be interesting to see who they'd like to help. Since they aren't staying and Xanatos isn't spitefully evil, aiding the New California Republic is a possibility. Teaming up with House would be the ideal solution though. A squad of armored steel gargoyles could have some interesting tactical options to open up, plus Xanatos' genius level intellect should prove of benefit in shoring up House's own comparative lack of charisma in regards to interpersonal relationships. Xanatos is a great manipulator and reader of people and would be able to help alleviate a lot of the issues House might have with the locals and set House on the right path if the latter can keep his smugness in check.

Hmm it's hard for me because I don't remember what my stuff was. The last book was the Wheel of time, I did not finish it only one book. The villain there is the Dark one basically satan. Does this mean I become the devil? It's a bit crazy unless I am just one of the guys.

As for anime that had a villain I'm currently watching Dragon Ball. Does that mean I become King Piccolo? Or just the last villain I saw beaten? If it's the end villain of the series then Piccolo can be a planet buster, if it's where I'm at then the red ribbon army I get an army which is ok I think they could survive most places maybe, we do have some robots and super powered guys.

If it's video games I'm juggling stick of truth, Metal Gear and Batman Arkham Knight now. If it's stick of Truth then I'm princess Kenny an immortal 9 year old I don't know if I can do anything, maybe make Fallout worse by adding Nazi zombies?

The funny thing about Metal Gear and Batman is the bad guys are pretty similar Big Boss is the best special forces soldier in history and he has an army of Mercenaries and a military base along with hind helicopters, tanks, and METAL GEAR under my control, maybe even a cyborg ninja.

Arkham Knight aka Red hood aka Jason Todd was trained by Batman so he is very skilled and has access to the Militia an army of mercenaries with fear gas, weapons, and all types of drones from tanks to helicopters.

Big Boss is a stronger option as for what happens:
1. In Dune where do I show up? Is it on Dune itself? Hopefully not the desert I don't want my base eaten by sandworms. But I guess we could do well as mercenaries. Even if shields block guns I can train my men to be good with knives and CQC.
2. Star Wars this is pretty good we could easily take down tons of storm troopers. So the mercenary thing would also work maybe get hired by the rebels? Maybe get some blasters and star ships.
3.I don't know too much about Start Trek. But the Federation probably won't like mercenaries, would the Klingons respect us as strong soldiers?
4. Firefly how far before the series? Is it before the broancoats lost? Maybe we could join the independent planets. We'd easily do a lot of damage to the Union, we even have nukes for their capital planet.
5. Babylon 5 I don't know anything about it.
6. Schlock Mercenary don't know anything about it.
7. Dead space all I know is that there are zombies I hope I don't get infected.
8. Fallout should be easy we could easily gain some territory with our army and get resources, would House or the New California Republic be willing to hire us to take out the Legion and the other side?
