I don't really follow MLB anymore and was wondering why the W-L is only about 154 instead of 162. That led to a wiki walk where I learned about Shohei Ohtani.

He's some wierd combination of Babe Ruth and Seira Morimura ...

Good enough on the mound that you want him in your starting rotation. Good enough in the batter's box to be a power hitter. Good enough on the base paths that 2nd or 3rd is looking very tasty. and Good enough defensively that you don't need make him your DH.

I was referring to the Zamboni driver who suited up for the Carolina Hurricanes game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. I don't mean to insult the Zamboni driver in question, I meant to reference the fact that a professional hockey team lost to the zamboni driver that works for the organization that owns the Leafs.

Professional hockey teams always have at least one reserve not on the roster who can play goalie for either team in an emergency. I think that's what what you were getting at.

That being said, the Mariners facing off against the Astros. That would be an extremely difficult challenge for Seattle, but given the controversy surrounding what happened in the 2017 World Series involving the Astros vs the Dodgers, I'd be more inclined to support the Mariners.
