United States Mercedes plant in Alabama unionizes

Second time in 3 weeks a major auto plant in the South has unionized. This time a 5000 person Mercedes plant. This is following a major push by the UAW to unionize. Later this month a 4000 person Volkswagen plant in Tennessee will vote.

If this is not defeated, the Deep South will be Democrat ruled by 2040. You do not want Unions to worm their way into political power. Despite what many of the Stalinists pretending to be (the only real)Conservatives will claim, Unions aren't for the workers, they are for Socialism. They will subvert and weaken society and make it vulnerable to Leftist propaganda.

Remember, it only takes one generation.

Yeah, this is sad but not surprising.
I'm curious what an investigation of all the union sponsors' actions would reveal prior to the vote.

Gotta love a Union that will endorse a President who wants to shut down gas vehicles and reduce private automobile ownership in general.

I'd still be fine with more (private sector) Unions if they weren't Big Labor monstrosities like the UAW. Big Labor is as toxic as Big Government, Big Business, Big Pharma... etc...

the Union vote is actually up for grabs right now with the democrats going full tilt towards becoming the establishment party under biden and obsorbing corperate america. Its likely that unions faced with that will have no choice but to go to the republican party.

We are going through a political realinment and we can not trust that things as they were will continue to be true in the future.

Why would leftists side with the Republicans?

Why would leftists side with the Republicans?

Thats simple because they got knifed in the back.

Look around you, The democrats under Biden responded to populism by essentially entering into alliance with corperate america. Big tech and other big businesses are going to them, and their already making the decision that their more valuable then union votes.

Quite simply put where do they go? Stay with the dems and get ignored in public and mocked behind closed doors forever or break for the new populist party?

The old left is a dying breed the current democratic party is the party of managerial elites not the working class and has been so for a long time sooner or later people stop lying to themselves about that.

The Democrats are the enemies of Big Business, not allies. Unions basically control Biden and his White House.

That depends on republicans. We can either be the populist party of conservative social values protecting religious liberty and the second amendment, while being against corporations. Or we can embrace wokeism like feminism LGBT and BLM to protect the big business.

I’d rather rather pick option 1. Conservatives are more than simps for the rich.

That's a false dichotomy.

It might not be.
The old conservative alliance of religious right and fiscal conservatives big business types is breaking down mostly because of the actions of the fiscal conservatives cozying up to Biden and other establishment democrats.

If conservatives want to be relavent they need new and better allies. Maybe it’s immigrants, maybe blue collar workers maybe something else. But the current conservatives can’t have everything they want they will have to drop some things to get new people. I’m thinking dropping the corpo types to get blue collar workers might be a good move.

You both ignore the reality that there is no united "big business". There are big businesses who pretty much need democrats to be in charge to exist in long term (like most of green business), there are big businesses who democrats want to ruin quite openly(see anti gun manufacturer initiatives), and a lot of shades of gray in between. Republicans need to act with self-interested nuance instead of outdated low resolution classes (benefit natural allies, ruin natural enemies) and not capture retarded economy ruining ideas from the far left while capturing the blue collar vote too.

"Immigrants" as a republican electorate are a delusional idea based on throwing most nationalists and patriots under the bus while trying to outbid race grifting socialists in catering to them (challenge: impossible).

Finally we agree on something!
