Logical goblin slayer

The pot helm has been around since the Greeks fought each other in the Peloponnese wars. Heck where are the chainmail coifs at if they have chainmail available?

Heroes should also be wearing helmets. This one's really weird, actually. I mean, it's standard for characters not to do this, both in film because the studio's pay octillions of pennies for the actors and thus want their faces on screen, and in manga because hairstyle is one of the few cues to telling characters apart and it becomes a mess if the readers can't immediately tell who's who.

However Goblin Slayer also explicitly has things like an entire party wiped out by a headshot from a slingstone, followed by the same sling bouncing a stone off Goblin Slayer's helmet. The author's clearly aware and made a point of it. You can't do that but also have every single adventurer fail to wear helmets, it doesn't work that way. People can suspend disbelief that the adventurers aren't wearing helmets as an acceptable break for clarity, but only as long as the author isn't having the enemies easily take advantage with headshots while the only character with a helmet proves immune.
That, and schields. All fighters should have them.

Another stupid thing about that party - all womans were raped and killed before/3 days/ GS come to kill goblins.
Not enough time to breed even one goblin.
Idiotic - in RL goblins should keep them alive for months,if not years. And do not take other womans to not attract attentions.

Their entire tactic should be :
1.Capture few womans
2.Hide for years without attacking any settle people, living from countryside.
3.Attack again only when all womans finally die.

Helmets obscure the facial expressions of the character, which are critical in the audio-visual medium that is film (or in this case, anime). So you either go with a half-mask approach like Zorro, Batman, or Oshtor where the audience can still clearly see the character emote, or you do the Iron-Man thing where you get shots inside the helmet of the character.

Oh, I know it, that's why I said it's an acceptable breach of reality.

The thing is, the author can't then mock and punish people for not wearing helmets, it ruins that suspension of disbelief. The only conclusion left is that the entire world is populated by idiots too stupid to wear a hat. You either put helmets on people, or don't visibly show people without helmets taking headshots that bounce off the only guy with a helmet.

Now just to head of pedantry, if it was just the one guy without a helmet that would be different, one guy being stupid is totally believable and doesn't ruin the suspension of disbelief. But literally Goblin Slayer is the only guy we ever see with one so it makes the entire rest of the universe into morons.

There are helmets that protect the head yet allow you to see the face. Norman-style helmets for example. Another is a helmet that would not look out of place in WW1 but is medieval. The Conquistador helmet is another example. So they could have headgear that showed their faces. Why they aren't using it is a puzzle to me.

Only logical reason - becouse goblins could catch and rape/kill more females.
Of course, before they deliver even one goblin.

Yes,story could be still Grimm and D7D style, but with fortified villages, smart advanturers, stronger elves, and goblins which do not kill their female victims before they born at least 5 goblins.

But,for unknown reason,Author of manga decided to made it totally illogical. To be honest, instead of any goblin raids and adventurers counter raids they could just toss dices and check who win,and who get raped and killed.

Well, I am (and I never thought I'd say this) going to defend Goblin Slayer a bit.

The world is illogical and doesn't make sense when examined closely, but that's okay. It's a story based on gore, shock value, and a touch of character development. The author specifically included how the gods are constantly meddling and creating new heroes, monsters, and campaigns to put a bandaid over how little sense it makes.

It's not to my taste but the world doesn't revolve around me, and it does get across the message the author wants, nonsensical worldbuilding or no.

Yes,but i would like world without Deux ex machina to support it.
For example,North Korea or other commie hellhole are worst, but still exist without gods supporting it.
So,grim as GS,but logical

Japanese media either does fantasy settings really poorly especially when it's western stuff or amazingly well Aka the ancient magus bride.
Great manga,i follow it.Sometimes anime,too.
Queen Titania was great, but Oberon was turned into clown. Here,my favourite part:

Back to topic - interesting cases of fortified villages:
1.Menerbes/France/
2.Taliouine/Marocco/
3.Monterrigori/Toscany/
4.Tulou villages of Hakka people /China/

Especially late would be very good against any attacker without siege machines or strong mages.
