What If? In a Post-Scarcity Society, People Turned To Increasingly Dangerous “Live Combat Sports”?

As the title says, let’s just say we somehow gained post scarcity technology, without the fear of technologically regressing severely

But needed stimulation or entertainment in the form of increasingly dangerous sports or “Live Combat Sports” like hunting genetically engineered super lions with only knives or climbing up dangerous mountains whilst having the permission to try and murder each other

Would this society ever go bored or unhappy? Or outright evil?

Some people will just give in to apathy, some to degeneracy and other will seek fulfilment through either intelectual endaveours or through danger thrills.

Exactly. This kind of behaviour is a symptom of boredom, not a vaccination against it.
