I think it’s been said before that things like greed and ambition or instinctive hoarding instinct as well as laziness or a constant desire/need to relax and do nothing are actually features or leftovers from mankind’s hunter-gatherer or before stage
While very negative behavior, there was evolutionary sense to it, even if it didn’t apply to all situations and thus the human body wasn’t meant for civilization
That said, I’m thinking, what if humanity was full of a natural blood knight instinct?
As in an instinctual desire to fight or face great challenges and opponents and win or show that they won?
This could at some worst moments, make it so that a man becomes an evil blood knight obsessed with fighting and killing and even showing strength by killing those weaker than them before seeking more dangerous opponents
An “instinct” to want to be the most dangerous animal around
