How long will a Predator last in the Underhive.

ROB decides to drop your average, every-day Predator, like maybe the one from the first movie, into the Necormundan Underhive.

How long will it last?

What about the other subtypes of Predator mentioned in the movies, games and otehr tie-in media?

Unless it eats somebody important - not likely, yet not improbable - it dies of old age or obesity induced heart attack??
Exactly as you said.IoM do not cared about its serfs or even soldiers,so as long as it do not target Mechanicus, important priests,ot nobles,it is safe.
What some mutants could do to it? nothing.

In fact it could be mutants - if mutated the right way - that might hurt the Predator the most. Or a demo summoned by Chaos Cultists. Chances of either happening are very low, though.
Or maybe a hunting/coming of age bloodletting party of Spirers could be a threat? Again - chances of encounter infinitesmally low.

There are some pretty powerful gangs roaming around the underhive, with the usual Warhammer 40k heavy weapons involved.

If it starts to hunt or steals food and the like one might detect it and go after it.

It would be a very, very unlucky Predator to run into a gang with a working missile launcher. Heavy stubbers are the heaviest weapon a rich gang is reasonably expected to have.
Then again, I read the sourcebooks about a quarter of a century ago :)

I actually played the game fairly recently, lots of plasma weapons and the like.

Dunno, I am going by the FPS.
And I'm going by what I remember from the skirmish game books. Two different worlds, I'm certain, as far as equipment is concerned.
In the narrative skirmish game with minis you had "juves" armed with naught but knives, as you did not have money to buy pistols for them.
Try to find the rulebook :) - I remember enjoying the read.

They have upgraded since then.

The game was also more or less decent, even if there was an overemphasis on frigging wall crawling.

Obesity? I think you are confusing the alien the thing that eats people with the predator which just hunts dangerous prey for sport.

It's sad that Yautja Obesity is such an invisible problem to outsiders and other prey species. :(

If we stop being so easy to hunt, the Yautja will stop growing so fat. It's mutually beneficial for all involved. Nature in balance as it should be.
