Brutality & Efficiency-Possibly Contradictory?

This is something I wonder as to whether or not they can truly go together, if especially the character said to be “brutal” is aiming for one hit kills and may not be a fan of beating something to death with multiple strikes as they’ve probably killed it in one or two calculated hits

Only reason I can call Spear in this scene “brutal” is because the Mammoth can take quite a stabbing and beating

Whereas here, whilst obviously angry, there’s like too much quickness to his kills

The first, yeah, I can buy he didn’t have to keep on bashing into the ape

Here, everything is pretty much a one hit kill

Well, I guess the one character I have the hardest time calling “brutal” is Goblin Slayer, whose attacks are almost all one hit kill, helps that Goblins can’t really take much damage and there’s not many individuals he can keep on slashing and stabbing and bashing at

And he beats stronger opponents without much use for really powerful or repeated hits
