We all know 'The View.' It's a critically acclaimed and extremely popular talk show format that was originally founded by veteran correspondent Barbara Walters. It's intention is to bring about a half dozen women of different backgrounds, generations, and different (liberal) opinions together to discuss the issues of the day with intelligent discussion, debate as well as wit and pandering humor.
So... in that grand tradition, and from the same shitposter who made two very similar threads to this already, this seemed like a reasonable thread to make.
If you had to pick six women (dependent on your definitions of course) of varying backgrounds, whom would you pick for a news talk show format like this.
Some ground rules:
> Six women (or other female defined equivalents)
> At least two have to be people of color (including one of Black and/or African descent)
> One token liberal (or Conservative) to maintain fairness and balancedness.
> One comedian (at least self defined as one as an occupation)
> At least one journalist for the illusion of moderation
Nice... but not necessary:
> Someone leggy.
> A lawyer or person who at least publicly professes legal scholarship without shame
> A "Lifestyle" expert
And beyond that, feel free to customize the show as needed.
For my all star lineup...
1. Marianne Williamson (Token Liberal): Could go with someone with more gravitas and intellectual rigor but this is entertainment and no one else will bring up the dark psychic forces that are threatening our Republic. Plus she actually has credentials since she's clearly been vetted by a Presidential Primary Campaign. Plus she has a non-distinct accent that makes her sound Europeanish or at least East Coastish... kinda like a non-annoying Arianna Huffington.
2. Desi-Rae (Token Black Woman): Ha no... I wouldn't dare bring Candance Owens from the college speaking circuit where she's doing the Lord's and BANKS work. So I'll pick the most insightful Youtuber I can think of off the top of my head who I think is smart and canny enough to offer a proper discussion of a multitude of topics. Plus she has a strong but still relatively clear accent which should generate interest and bring out the productive discussion from internet trolls and racists and force people to actually listen to what she's saying.
3. Roseanne Barr (Comedian): Need someone unfiltered who can just tell a feller or lady to 'Suck it.' Just as opionated as anyone, and prone to making outrageous statements but still have the wherewithal to check herself while still giving no real fucks about things. Also many times less annoying then Joy Behar. Also she's old, so yeah for multi-generational!
4. Lauren Chen (Token Identity Panelist): She's cool. And she's a pseudo-intellectual like Desi-Rae as well instead of just another commentator. Plus she's married so she's not one of those commentators too busy to get hitched for some reason and be fruitful and multiply as GOD INTENDED. Also she can sit in the leg chair if needbe.
5. Dana Perino (semi-respectable journalist): She's been on Fox News forever and before that was a Press Secretary for the Bush Administration. That's two room fulls of manchildren she's had to deal with over the years. She'll be fine in the moderation/journalism duties... probably.
6. Bridget Phetasy (Lifestyle Expert as if that's a thing): She's an author for the Federalist as well as for Playboy, which currently are two of the most respectable mainstream publications right now. Her wit and wisdom and quick incisive intellect is only mitigated by her foolhardiness in stumbling into Twitter mobs and simply asking what all of the phony outrage is about. She's funny and witty and can actually hold a conversation without sounding like a drone or a dunce. And like any "lifestyle" expert, she has a colorful early history pertaining to drugs, domestic abuse and liberalism. Winner all around. Not sure if leggy.... but she got the thiccness going on.
