So its very likely some of you have by now seen the discussion on the 3 Spiderman and which one is stronger. Now this isn't exactly a debate on which one is stronger...per say. I'm more interested in something at the root of this discussion that gets overlooked. Attached is a video that highlights the reason why Tobey-Spiderman is so much stronger and its very convincing for me.
But the problem is that it doesn't address the root issue of why Tobey-Spiderman is so much stronger. So I delved into it and I have a theory I'd like to post here and elsewhere to get some thoughts on it. And basically it all comes down to the Spider itself.
In the Movies we've seen, Garfield and Holland Spiderman are about on par with each other, as it should be. Their strengths, reflexes and speed are comparable. The Reason why is that, for them, likely a Common regular House Spider that got irradiated was what had bitten them before it died. So those two took on the traits of a regular Spider. Super Strength, reflexes, wall crawling, ect ect ect. Right where Spiderman should be in terms of stats.
Tobey-Spiderman is different. The Spider that bit him was different. It was infact an artificially created Super-Spider; with all the best traits taken from multiple species of spiders. Strength, speed, reflexes, durability, healing, webbing, wall crawling....all of it. All rolled into 1.
The scene in question. listen to what she says about the Spiders, because this is key.
So with that in mind, my thinking is this. Garfield and Holland Spiderman are exactly where Spiderman should be in terms of a real life adaptation of the Comic book character where as Tobey is much stronger due to being bitten by a better Spider, which explains why he is so much stronger.
Thoughts?
