A Celebration of Work

In this time when the situation in the world is very stressful and people are reminded more than ever of their need to get out and do things--precisely because the absence is so stressful--I wanted to create a thread for people to post art to celebrate work, and talk about the humour that comes naturally from hard work.

I offer first Stan Rogers' The Idiot.

I offer secondly the traditional English folk song, The Song of the Staffordshire Men:

This isn't intended to be political at all -- the second song was, despite the traditional and cheerful lyrics -- being reposted by some communist on youtube, so, you know, we are in agreement with the tankies that working is important.

And sung by the amazing Irishman, Luke Kelly, the song of the fishermen (and pulling yourself up by your bootstraps until you've a quarter share in!) --

The Shoals of Herring, another English traditional song.

So what have you all got?
