I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we had to implement a complete travel ban because of those who would try and sell our nation out.

Would anyone have the moral courage to do that?

We'd probably shut down airlines for some time because many previous destinations aren't viable to arrive in for one reason or another. And with the Soviet Union around, flights would probably be banned for reasons of national security.

Some places that are friendly now were not so friendly then. So yes, I think the Government would have too. Especially if a number of air liners were seized. Either to get ahold of the jet engine technology or use American civilians as leverage to get technology and resources. Or both. Of course this isn't the Administration you want to do that with.
