The efficacy (or lack thereof) of Gun Control

The key part was "if I wanted to", which I don't want to ever have to do.

The efficacy (or lack thereof) of Gun Control

That was just one example of how I could do it with something improvised. Would you like me to provide more example possibilities? I ain't a cuck. If I'm armed you'll know it.

The efficacy (or lack thereof) of Gun Control

I can go pretty much anywhere without fear because anything and everthing within my reach is a weapon. I could probably kill someone with a broken plastic spoon in an emergency and here's how I'd do it: shove it through one of their eyes. When I'm carrying a loaded firearm I'm not potential...

The efficacy (or lack thereof) of Gun Control

I've never been in a situation where "I need a gun for self-defense right now" has ever come close to being a thought. Not even when visiting my brother-in-laws relatives in East Saint Louis. As I said, you aren't thinking like a civilian. You're thinking military where anything just the...

The efficacy (or lack thereof) of Gun Control

No, you are not. I'm very aware that showing up somewhere while openly armed tends to make people who aren't familiar with you very nervous. If I'm going to wear a weapon when out and about - which I don't do, BTW, because I've never felt the need to - it'll be so hidden you won't even know...

The efficacy (or lack thereof) of Gun Control

You're thinking in military terms, not civilian ones. When I walk across the street at a crosswalk the only thing protecting me from an idiot running me over and killing me is a red lightbulb telling the people driving cars that they need to stop and wait.

The efficacy (or lack thereof) of Gun Control

Legitimate Civilian use. Saying, as a civilian, "I have a nuke" is practically asking everyone with any weapon whatsoever to come and kill you before you can detonate it. If you do have one but don't tell everyone you have one? Why even bother because that nuke is not going to protect you from...

The efficacy (or lack thereof) of Gun Control

No, I mean something someone might actually be able to afford.

The efficacy (or lack thereof) of Gun Control

Atomic Bombs are just one example and I know enough that - with access to the right materials - I might be able make one if I wanted to.

The efficacy (or lack thereof) of Gun Control

Agreed. I think gun control should be limited to "these weapons have absolutely no legitimate civilian use" and "these people shouldn't be allowed to touch the ones which do have legitimate civilian uses".

The efficacy (or lack thereof) of Gun Control

This. "You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass." - Gensui-kaigun-taishō Yamamoto Isoroku
