Turkish-backed attack on Armenia by Azerbaijan with formal declaration of War

Is Pakistan trying to aggressively court Turkic nations by doing this? Also, a bit off-topic, but I've previously heard Indians refer to Pakistanis as Wannabe Arabs! :D

Turkish-backed attack on Armenia by Azerbaijan with formal declaration of War

Looks like the Hindu-Christian alliance against the Turkic Muslims is in full swing!

Turkish-backed attack on Armenia by Azerbaijan with formal declaration of War

Done. And who made that argument, BTW? It would also apply to Crimea, FWIW.

Turkish-backed attack on Armenia by Azerbaijan with formal declaration of War

So, this is turning out to be a winning geopolitical move for the US. Allow Russia to ruin its relations with Armenia (and Central Asia, to a lesser extent) and then increase its own influence there at Russia's expense. Brilliant!

Turkish-backed attack on Armenia by Azerbaijan with formal declaration of War

He admitted several times more Syrian refugees than Merkel did, so, maybe? But then again, Armenians are Christians whereas Turks are Muslims. And Turks have a rather problematic history with the Armenians, to put it mildly. Turks probably view Syrians more favorably since, unlike Armenians...

Turkish-backed attack on Armenia by Azerbaijan with formal declaration of War

One would think that NATO would be pro-human rights, no? Though Turkey might use its veto power to block any NATO intervention, thus necessitating that such intervention be unilateral, similar to Iraq in 2003, with Bush's coalition of the willing. NATO cared a lot about Kosovo to militarily...

Turkish-backed attack on Armenia by Azerbaijan with formal declaration of War

And isn't this an opportunity for NATO for humanitarian intervention?

Turkish-backed attack on Armenia by Azerbaijan with formal declaration of War

Great to hear! :) Are the Armenians in N-K going to stay and live under Azerbaijani rule or are they going to be resettled en masse in Armenia?

Turkish-backed attack on Armenia by Azerbaijan with formal declaration of War

BTW, off-topic, but it's interesting that many US states, primarily liberal ones, have already recognized N-K: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreign_relations_of_Artsakh#Independence_recognition_efforts

Turkish-backed attack on Armenia by Azerbaijan with formal declaration of War

What do the Azeris want? A land corridor to their enclave west of Armenia?

Turkish-backed attack on Armenia by Azerbaijan with formal declaration of War

Anyway, what about this compromise deal? Armenia gives up some of its own territory in the south in exchange for Azerbaijan allowing Armenia to annex Nagorno-Karabakh and the Lachin Corridor?

Turkish-backed attack on Armenia by Azerbaijan with formal declaration of War

Very sad what's happening to Armenia. :( It's quite interesting, though, that this isn't the first time that Armenians got burned as a result of their association with Russia. In the 1910s, Russia tried using Armenians as pawns against the Ottoman Empire, which in turn fueled Ottoman paranoia...

Turkish-backed attack on Armenia by Azerbaijan with formal declaration of War

Take a look at this map: Without Great Power (Russian, Western, Chinese, and/or et cetera) protection, there's simply no way that N-K could actually be protected unless the border districts were also secured.

Turkish-backed attack on Armenia by Azerbaijan with formal declaration of War

That didn't help Russia in its current war with Ukraine. Not yet, at least.

Turkish-backed attack on Armenia by Azerbaijan with formal declaration of War

To be fair, though, it's not like N-K was easily defensible otherwise. At least, not without Great Power protection. And if one wants to be technical, one could perhaps argue that Armenia's support of N-K is itself a violation of international law because it's internationally recognized as...

Turkish-backed attack on Armenia by Azerbaijan with formal declaration of War

If Russia sells out N-K, then Armenia will likely exit the Eurasian Economic Union. And Turkey can't join the EEU since it's already in a customs union with the EU. But is having Azerbaijan get N-K that important for Turkey? Azerbaijan already got the border territories of N-K as a result of its...
