Never saw either of those. The Pokemon anime doesn't really try to adapt the plots of the game, unlike your usual video game adaptation. They are their own thing. They just happen to be anime set in the Pokemon universe (and honestly develop the Pokemon universe better than the games do).

As a fan of the original Pacific Rim, this is insulting. I have no hope for this movie. I can't think of any video game movies that were good (Detective Pikachu was decent at best), and the state of Hollywood is abysmal. There is hardly anything within the last 5 years I wanted to see.
