I was most of the way through this clip, and the line "And this is a Conservitive Govenment, and they're the ones who are supposed to protect the working class and the little guy" and it struck me as hilarious, I still remember the Labour Party being all about that, at the top of their lungs...

I've got to admit, I can be a bit like that. I try for honesty in all ways, but I'm only human.

The Deep State isn't, mostly, the politicians. It's the mass of bureaucrats, and they're even more insulated from consequences. So, yes, doubling down is very likely, I think.

I still find it interesting, and terror inducing, that everybody seems to still buy the "Climate Change" thing. Are they going to freeze to death while ranting "No more Carbon!"?

Eh. You need a energy supply to do it, and hydrocarbons are part of getting one, in pretty much all cases.

It's a pretty interesting debate. I should stick a little more to the ecconomics, here. Somewhat related Very horrible, but also considerable ecconomic implications.

Well, there's plenty of ecconomic consiquences to the US involvment in that war. No the main topic, though.

Sanctions is fine, if we're going to do something. A unified response via the UN, perhaps? Perhaps talking, even some threats, to Putin, not just going "RAGH! EVELS!". You know, something involving actual thought, not "This nation we're not allied with, we're not friends with are being...

Not partiualy, no. Neither should the US. What actions are you talking about?

I'm not. This is picking a war with Russia via proxy, and they see it. What the Russians are going to do about it, that's a seperate question, but make no mistake, the US is effectively at war with Russia. This "World's Policeman" stuff really needs to be thought through. It would have been...

Pretty much every nation has gas and oil in their territory, at least some. Almost all could make dams for hydro and build nuke power, but they don't do a bunch of this, in many places. They're just too cucked by greens.

Gee, what's this? https://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/map-shows-places-world-where-us-military-operates-180970997/ This says there are US troops in 40% of all the Worlds nations. I wonder, just how many wars and invasions the US has done, since the fall of the USSR...

As best I can tell? Russia's less imperial than the West. That's what we're saying.

We're not sure how much of the USSR's nuke targeting is still in place, and how much would be aimed at, say, DC. Fucking morons.

Well, they're going to try. Putin's 70, so he might not last too much longer, but, well, he might well last 15 years or more, too. He might go looking for a heir, heck, he might have one now. If Putin nukes somebody, then is "cooped" into retirement, what will the West do? How far will they...

I think he's seen some of what I saw. Ukraine has been in a state of civil war for years, an area of the Ukraine has been Russian, both in terms of lang, and ethnic, to the point that many of them wanted to rejoin Russia, and were willing to fight for it, with the ethnic Ukrainians being...
