The parts I heard about were them hitting people for apparently political reasons. Mostly, if you went against the "Narrative", they'd screw you. But, there might have been all sorts of other stuff going on.

Nice. I really like that the locals aren't idiots. They do have a pretty good understanding of what's going on, and your insert is discovering some things, but the locals have so much to teach as well!
