Yes, seriously. Almost every single state allows underage marriage with parental "consent"; some require a judge to sign off on it as well, but this is routinely granted as long as the parents approve, even in cases of outright rape. It's pretty much the *only* major exception to strict...

There is also the fact that child marriage is legal in 42 states and 8 states establish no minimum age for child marriage at all, meaning pedophilia becomes perfectly legal as long as you have "consent" from the parents.

I understand what you're saying, and the thing is that it *is* true that sex offender recidivism rates fall below the average for criminals. That is why I am specifically saying serial killers and serial rapists, which are a specific subcategory not broken out in general crime statistics.

Not when it's multiple or serial rape. Serial rapists and serial killers are impossible to truly rehabilitate (although they sometimes fake it only to resurface later), which is why I believe these specific offenses should actually be an automatic death sentence.

My opinion on justice is that prison *should* focus on rehabilitation because it’s good for society to help someone turn their life around and become an upstanding member of society. However, those who cannot or will not be rehabilitated should be removed.

The penalty for multiple counts of rape and/or serial rape should be an actual death sentence in my opinion, but spending the rest of his life in prison at least gets this monster off the streets.

Sure, but I'd say the Weinstein business definitely illustrates just how little traction even very big name actresses actually had in the industry, and that was for *actual sexual assault* and not just "pressuring an actress to do more stuff".

Uh, if the genders are flipped, that's literally routine business in movie and TV. Female leads make such complaints all the time, and there's really no way to make it a blanket "I will not do X" unless you're a big name star with traction to negotiate *or* in a financial position where you can...

It's at least plausible; Cavill is a pretty hardcore gamer and it's known that he was increasingly unhappy with Witcher being primarily based on the original books and not the video game adaptation. It's pretty over the top behavior, but I can definitely see him trying to stage an internal...

It's a problem because she told him in advance not to. Not only was it not in the script, this was explicitly discussed with a crew member who literally specializes in choreographing sex scenes. He literally decided he was entitled to touch someone else in an explicitly sexual manner that they...

He touched her leg in an inappropriate manner during a sex scene. Even his own version of events made it clear that he was explicitly told in advance not to do this, but rejected that instruction because he felt that he was entitled to act as he saw fit regardless of the actress' consent...

I don't think it's unfair to say it was wrong that Langella insisted he *should* get to feel up the actress after he was already told in advance not to, just because he thought it was "in character" to do so. Just because you're acting doesn't give you a free pass to behave as you please, just...

I would also point out that Chris Rock's claim that he didn't know about Jada having alopecia is an incredibly blatant lie; while his motives for doing so aren't clear, Rock has clearly had some sort of grudge against Will and Jada for *years* and has *repeatedly* targeted them for extremely...

No one really "went after" Dr. Seuss though -- his *estate* chose to take certain older works out of publication, and Seuss himself had said that he was deeply ashamed of the racism in his early propaganda work. He was certainly aware of the hypocrisy in that a good portion of said propaganda...

All Hasbro is doing is changing the name of the toy brand from "Mr. Potato Head" to "Potato Head". The actual toys will still be Mr. Potato Head and Mrs. Potato Head. This is an incredibly minor product organization shift, comparable to them previously changing the "Super Soaker" brand to "Nerf...
