Ever had to deal with people who grew up in complete safety and never had to experience any hardship at all, but always had whatever they wanted handed to them on a platter?

Satan being allowed to run loose for a time before God steps in and removes him isn't the same thing at all as Satan being some sort of equal-but-opposite power to God. I'm not sure that even the Zoroastrians really believed that.

True - because a medieval king might be a corrupt old crook, or an inbred idiot, but he would seldom be an ideologue hellbent on forcing the entire population into some new mode of society someone had dreamed up.

Was a thing. As a model of government, it's been road-tested a bit and found somewhat wanting.

I take it you've never worked for Tech Support. I have, and believe me, "inability to understand" is something I have encountered way too many examples of. Note that I said "easily understood" - not "understood at all". Please parse what I say more carefully. Atheist's gonna atheist. Do you...

Well, not really. Nuclear fission results in isotopes of other elements - small atoms than the one that split, but still atoms.

Sometimes it helps to identify the underlying, unspoken assumptions. In this case, one of yours seems to be that the actions and policies of a Deity should be easily understandable to a mortal human. Also, let me point out that much of what a lot of people think they know about Satan, Hell, and...

@Morphic Tide we get it, you have problems with Christianity. But none of your complaints seem to relate at all to the point ATP was actually making, which is that the West's abandonment of its dominant religion (ie Christianity) is strongly correlated with the West's overall decline. Could be...

Been experimenting with those the other day. There's more than one kind of Rust player, as I'm sure you know. I see myself as mostly the peaceful friendly PVE Solo type. A house in the woods somewhere people won't bother me, hunting wildlife for food, and generally living out my...

It's not the House of Saud as such - it's all the radicals and extremists in the population there. Former just want to keep selling oil. It's the latter who dream of burning the world down.

That's what these puppies are for. Put them all around the reactor, and if anyone who's not registered in the central computer gets too close... dakka-dakka-dakka. Joking aside, protecting nuclear powerplants against terrorist attacks should be a "no duh" matter.
