This is why I think they updated the artwork for the McKenna (and other warships) in the Dropship, Jumpship, and Warship TRO. If you go with the later artwork the McKenna ends up looking a lot more beefy than the old art that made it look like a slightly thicker jumpship.

Again, aside from the explicitly shown to be ex post facto aspect of the Ghost Bear's focus on the family, what Clans take so much from their totems for their culture and tactics? Yes the warriors will talk about the fierceness and strength or swiftness of their totem beast as being aspects...

Most of the Clan's DON'T structure their Clan culture and society on their totems. Cloud Cobra's aren't some sort of spiritual beast that lead that clan to be literally Clan Warrior Monk where the dominate political factions of the Clan are literally religious denominations. No that was...

What the books describe is closer to being this: Than this: Nobody goes around calling Jaffa "furries" due to their ceremonial armor. Further, the headpeices that look like the animal totems of the Clans are specifically for ceremonies, and from all the descriptions they are much like...

*sighs* The Clanners are not Furries. That implies they identify with/as their Clan's Totem. They don't, they use the Clan totem in their ceremonial uniforms in much the same way traditional native cultures would use animal totems, or how modern countries use certain animal totems to...

The Capellan Confederation, especially Maxmillian Liao, also arguably played into classic "Yellow Peril" tropes in design and actions. Some might argue the Combine did too, but the Combine is such a mish-mash of Japanese culture that it actually ends up avoiding it, I think. It doesn't use the...

No. The selection process for being a Seeker is quite rigorous and was normally vetted carefully... specifically BECAUSE of the issue you're talking about. To be a Seeker you first had to be given permission to go on a Necrosia vision quest, which while most Warriors would try that once, the...

Actually yes. In fact it was a conflict with Seekers that triggered the entire conquest of the Hanastic League to begin with. Basically some Seekers were in Hanastic League space just doing their thing, the Hanastic League took umbrage and attacked them and the Scorpions decided to use that as...

I fundamentally have to disagree with this. The Goliath Scorpions actually were one of the home clans that had a very strong identity and look to them, plus offered something unique to the setting that no other Clan did in the form of the Seekers. Even a cursory read through Field Manual...

As a matter of fact I do. See here. Bear in mind these were for the prior edition of Savage Worlds, not the most current. They're probably easily adaptable though, not enough changed to really invalidate them.

There's a reason when my old gaming group wanted to do a tabletop RPG campaign set in the BattleTech setting we decided that it was simpler to functionally write a total conversion of the entire BattleTech ruleset into the Savage Worlds system... than try and figure out A Time of War. Which we...

When it comes to practical application, Mech hands also make Mechs less of a weapon and more of a tool, since the primary capability they add to a mech is utility and the ability to do some non-combat things (carrying, lifting, picking up, etc.). Within the Clans, Warriors would not be...
