    Battletech Welcome to the Jungle

Will Katrina look around in some of her warehouses so that other areas can benefit as well? Hell are there any old factories that still exist in mothballs?

One easy way to raise some funds would be for Catachan to sell a copy of a basic Rampage or Mackie specs to the MoC and TC.

Riflemen are a waste of a mech, if you want AAA buy a partisan.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 3rd Lyrans commander is recalled and whoever takes over becomes significantly more aggressive just because of the embarrassment they currently are feeling for their pathetic performance.

The difference is that the Centurian before Catachan got their hands on it had several problems including poor avionics. The Vulcan on the other hand requires parts no one has made in literal centuries so updating it to use things currently in production is just common sense.

The idea is not to make down-grades but to make introtech versions of the updated Centurian and an updated Vulcan that can be manufactured now. With the corruption scandal taking out Lockheed there is an opening for a new aerospace company that can fill the needs of the LCAF and the individual...

Thats why it wouldn't be the Catachan Arms company it would be a subsidiary with a different name and I was suggesting ASFs and not mechs.

    Battletech Welcome to the Jungle

A slow well armored medium with an all-energy armament is better than a medium no one likes and that was so disliked that it was discontinued even when there is an enormous need for more mechs. Update it to use as many common parts as possible and you would see a lot of business from militias...

It says 16 tons, I hope the MC suggests Brewer reconfigures the Sentinel line to produce the Swordsman instead. Obviously upgraded with standard tech and a better engine and weapons loadout. Maybe a 150 engine, ppc, 4 ML, 12 single heat sinks and about 10 tons of armor.

Yeah, the best option would be to do a full redesign of the Triumph into a tough carrier that carries more ASF's and cargo than a Union-CV but less than a Vengeance. Designing a new carrier dropship is out of the range of possibility right now.

I'm sure that the Lyrans also restricted the information they put on the cores to the designs that the company in question needed. This will help slow down the spread of information to the other states.

Great chapter, you did an excellent job with the interpersonal issues and how tricky some of those can be. Has the Archon sent Weber a report on if her people have found anything else interesting in his ancestors journal?

I was rereading the story and I just realized that since CAC and Defiance agreed not to compete in certain areas will this mean that the Hatchetman will not be developed?

I'm a little surprised that CAC went for the Stingray refit before doing one for the Hellcat or something to make the Chippewa less of a deathtrap considering that both are made in the LC.

If Weber wants to fix the problems with the gauss rifle production line he could always put it into orbit. Also, did Weber's people find any interesting fighters or small craft in the Pinto?

    Battletech Welcome to the Jungle

When Weber was refitting the dropships he salvaged did he use standard Inner Sphere tech or did he upgrade them? Also, is Weber using the political capital from his recent victory to acquire more immediate access to additional material such as heavier ASF's, AFV, or other military gear?

    Battletech Welcome to the Jungle

Will CAC start developing refit kits for other Battlemechs and ASFs and does it have the excess capacity to produce them with their current production?

I was surprised that when Weber decided to exit the mercenary business completely he didn't lose a bunch of his soldiers. I would have thought he would keep Weber's Warriors as a company sized unit for those who wanted to remain as mercs and build it back up to a battalion over time.
