Got into Owlcat's new release, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. Despite a bunch of little funny bugs on launch, like t-posing servitors in the background, the experience has been great. The plot, the characters, the combat, the BGM and sound design, all very solid. The only major complaint I have...

I've been playing Book of Hours quite a lot since it released. Exploring all the lore hidden away in the game is really quite fun. And despite the literal 2d artstyle, the game is incredibly immersive between the music and other background ambience, the visuals and the lore itself. But it is...

Oh sure. I didn't mean to imply it was just a bad game. I'm just too much of a casual to enjoy a game like that long-term. I did have a fair bit of fun poking around and getting my Chapter wiped out or at war with everyone (including the Imperium) within the first twenty turns for about twenty...

Do you mean that Interstellar Army Simulator game that's barely functional unless you install the totally third-party 40k mod to get around legal issues with GW? It's... comprehensive in its depth and it's brutally difficult to keep track of everything. It's a great autist game, but having to...

Been on a 40k binge lately as well. Got back into the 40k/Rosigma mod for OpenXCom Extended. Even playing as the Space Marines, it's not really a power fantasy. It's a demonstration of just how brutal warfare is in the 40k universe.

Got back into X-Piratez, a (pretty lewd) total conversion mod for OpenXCom after having set it aside for a couple years. Still just as amazing, intricate and engaging as I remember it.

I would also recommend trying out the Battletech Advanced: 3062 mod for that game. Lots of cool stuff in that mod, including playable tanks, playable Battle Armor squads and a 150-ton LAM (among more canonical LAMs). And major canonical events can actually trigger pseudo-flashpoint missions (if...

Got back into Star Traders: Frontiers now that they've added proper modding support and Steam Workshop integration. And damn the setting of that world continues to draw me in and have me coming up with tiny immersion details to what my ship and crew are doing, even when I'm doing generic quests...
