    Extras: Tech Clarification

OK, Word Of Author here. Advantages of Colonial/Cylon FTL drives (solely due to drive tech) Rapid cycling/recharging Scales down to fighter scale Disadvantages of Colonial/Cylon FTL drives (solely due to drive tech) Consumes tylium in operation (tylium in this fic is an extreme high energy...

it was a highly experimental 'super jump' KF drive IIRC

Chapter 11 A week had passed, and with that week the elections. Roslin and Adama had agreed that releasing the news about the Hegemony would definitively swing the election, and if anything at all, no matter how minor, then went wrong Laura would be in an untenable position vis-a-vis the...

Tintavel's death toll has varied in multiple sources, I've seen it as low as 30,000 to a high of 350,000, either from a single strike, or over the entire campaign (including all ancillary deaths from the campaign).

Hiroshima was followed by Nagasaki. And the THiE has zero to do with any of the Succession Wars.

Tintavel had a lower death count than Hiroshima, Aaron. Yes it was 'the whole population!!!!!!!11111oneoneoneeleveneleven!!!!' but that was because the whole population was still in a single small settlement on a relatively hostile planet.

Please note that the THiE has not been associated with the Inner Sphere outside of intelligence gathering and an influx of refugees during the final collapse of the Star League since the Reunification War. On a more relevant note, working on the next chapter of the fic, in an odd spot where I...

That's data mining from a mod, not the base game, plus HBS stats are not necessarily accurate. Note that I do like the rationalized ARES approach, but I'm leaving the numbers fuzzy

Yeah, it's in the latest edition of TacOps Advanced Units & Equipment, but it isn't supported by MML yet (or at least my version, I'm using the BQ fork of MML which might be behind on that implementation)

Well, one thing I'll mention for now... The Hegemony likes LRM-20's as part of their anti-fighter armament... likes them a lot. And one of the reasons why is that all Hegemony LRM ammunition is Artemis compatible AND SWARM-I.

Nope, think Heavy Battle Armor, 1.5 tons, make Elementals cry.

    Threadmarks: Chapter 10

Chapter 10 Laura’s head was still spinning. They’d managed to confirm with General Sherman that those energy weapons, both lasers and something called a PPC, were standard for the Hegemony. Indeed, General Sherman had patted the empty holster on his uniform and explained that his personal...

Tylium may be a massive power source, but it is a fueled power source. In btech terms this means it would require power convertors in order to power energy weapons as it is not a fusion reactor. A fusion reactor ASF's reactor doesn't use fuel, it just consumes reaction mass for thrust (fuel of...

Battletech Battletech/Battlestar Galactica Crossover - Lucky 13th (the rewrite)

IF (note the IF) the Colonials before the fall of the Colonies had wanted a 100 ton ASF, they'd be quite capable of building one. However weapons wise it would likely have a mix of AC/20, AC/10 and HMGs. Note that due to tech differentials I make the following assumptions for Colonial...

Chapter 9 Laura Roslin was… annoyed. It was now quite obvious to her that no matter how otherwise level-headed a military man was, hearing the phrase ‘firepower demonstration’ ignited something deep within the military soul that required him to start beating his chest and strutting like a...

Chapter 8 Having the Galaxy and Colonial One meet airlock to airlock for the meeting had been a very good plan. Then they tried it. The Galaxy-class logistics dropship had a single 10m main airlock and a 1.6m personnel airlock as a backup and for docked small craft. Meanwhile Colonial One’s...

And I just spotted a continuity error spawned by my conflating the original version with this one. The Black Prince should be named Potente, not Constitution. I will correct this error as well once I finish this chapter.
