    I humbly disagree - Weimar had a French 3rd Republic size hateboner towards Poland. Upper Silesia, Posen, Corridor ... Any Poland reaching westward beyond the 1914 border would elicit such reaction from Weimar Deep State elites.

    I don't think that Weimar would accept territorial losses to Poland ever. Same as the IIIrd Republic never accepted the loss of A-L in spite of their German speaking population. It took a Hitler to make peace with Poland (temporarily).

    The clearly anti-Soviet stance helps in similar way as no Locarno. Sends a message of unwavering support. True that the newly emerged Central European countries are surrogate mini-Russias, but they need to be reassured that Paris will not drop them for the Soviet monsters at first opportunity...

    Easy - Paris has to react strongly to the remilitarisation of the Rheinland, not caring for what London thinks (which secretly was happy that it finally was getting a counterweight to French domination of the Continent).
