That's the thing though. A lot of prisoners are treated badly this way. It's not being done special for the J6 protestors, there's just enough of them that they fall through the same cracks in the system all other prisoners fall through. Endless waits for trials and horrific pretrial conditions...

So this is horrific, no questions asked. But also not uniquely horrific. This cell already existed before J6, and held prisoners then. And nearly no one deserves to live like this, unless they should be on death row (and even then, we don't want the government doing it because it teaches...
