I noticed that too. IIRC the Pilot's VA said he'd be called that initially, but his name would be revealed later in the game, so maybe it's a similar thing here? Not that I can see a meaningful purpose that serves versus just telling us their names to start with.

Regarding the new episode, I'd have preferred that they focus on Gabi's reaction a bit more, but otherwise an excellent adaptation of one of my favorite scenes in the series. And it will be very interesting to see how many anime-onlys remember this scene during upcoming events.
