I feel like she's basically running a Luck with Charisma build lol, get carried by being Lucky and having the right companions do the heavy lifting.

I'm not sure if it what I read was real or fake but years ago there was talk of adapting Fallout into a movie and the plot treatment I read had barely used the Fallout games for anything but window dressing. It would've been a terrible adaptation though some of the moments in the prospective treatment were neat.

But anyways there was a scene where a pair of naive survivors from a Vault and their Wastelander companion were trapped or whatever by some raiders or whatever and then one of the Vault survivors who was a Security Officer back at the Vault managed to surprise the bandits who thought she was rightfully naive and dumb.

But apparently her tag skills were Unarmed and Small Guns and the script briefly summarized her dusarming one of the bandits and going Bruce Lee/pre-John Wick on everyone else while their Wastelander companion was low key getting a boner (not literally stares but clearly implied) witnessing her going Ranger Stella on everybody.

I think the other Vault Dweller has the noncombat build though.

What I've seen so far of the Fallout series appalls me.

Remember that this wasteland we see is supposed to be set in California. You know, the one place in Fallout America that has a functional nation state. And and keep in mind that the vault the main character is from is supposed to be from is located near Los Angeles. For those who don't know, in Fallout Los Angeles, now called the Boneyard, is a core city of the New California Republic and contains its minting facility, the headquarters of their largest weapons manufactures, and the Followers medical university.

This area is not supposed to be a wasteland. But from what we've seen so far it has been reduced back into one along with the rest of the NCR.

Bethesda has always hated the idea of having actual civilization in their Fallout games. Despite the fact that in the original titles and New Vegas one of the major themes was that of civilization rebuilding and that the wasteland could not last. Instead Bethesda have always preferred to create anarchic rubble themed sandboxes that never change or improve to better fit the feel that they want for their games. No matter how little sense it makes.

And now it seems they have brought their brand of idiocy to the West coast, stomping on the last legacy of Black Isle/Obsidian all so that they can have their stupid theme park apocalypse.

In their defense Fallout New Vegas there's a Vault 22 quest where if you don't download data from a vault that the NCR would under go a MASSIVE famine.

Or, for a layman such as yourself - not enough food, too many mouths to feed. Mass starvation. In a decade or so. {condescending}

Maybe that's what happened (The show takes place years after Fallout 4), it would be lore friendly. The quest specifically says the NCR as a whole would experience mass starvation in a decade which could result in partial collapse of the NCR.

Hell even if the NCR folds, I cannot see LA becoming a ghost-town, even in the first game it has a thriving industry including the Gun Runners.

I mean, in Fallout 4 in Kellogs mind invasion sequence you can clearly see LA out his apartment window and it's clearly a bustling city.

You know they could have avoided all of this by setting the Fallout series in a new universe. It's 25 years after the bombs fell. The NCR is just starting out. Everything is shit and there are places the Lone Wanderer can go and be helpful.

Yeah regardless of quality of the TV series, I'd of rather not seen it as in the same setting as the video games. It's just a different medium. Setting games in live action or animated verses is one thing, but setting live action stuff in many video games.... it tends to be a bit more awkward. Live action series/movies tend to eclipse the video game setting in pop culture as one reason to avoid it regardless of the shows merit or quality.

I consider this Amazon abomination as canon for fallout as rings of powah is canon for LotR.

Namely, 0.

People are coping by saying it's "pre-War Shady Sands" but that's pretty obvious cope lol.
Ngl it probably is
NCR_Downtown_interiors.jpg

It looks nothing alike, the giant ass crater for starters isn't there.

Shady Sands was factually built from scratch without using Pre War ruins so the sign saying Shady Signs was probably Pre-War.

They'd have to do a massive retcon to make this the actual Shady Sands from FO2

It's set post-FO4 so probably is Shady Sands.
It is set Post FO4 but we don't know the exact locations just general ones like Los Angeles.

I'd wait till the show comes out tbh 🤷 the trailer showed an NCR flag so we have to see if it did collapse or not.
