Bizarre Challenges and Memes (Ice Bucket, etc)

Has anyone else seen that stupid ass Beard Challenge? Ok I get it you like growing a long beard. But some people don't like growing a long beard. I for one don't grow a long one or have one for more than a week and a half for 3 good reasons.

1: I am a Armed Guard and have company grooming standards
2: I use a CPAP Machine and a long beard will make the mask not fit right. And No I will never use the nose mask. It is just uncomfortable for me
3: My beard itches when I grow it out. So I just shave as it gets to clipper length.

You can add a forth in me never doing what people on the internet challenge me to do. I ain't no crowd follower and peer pressure never worked on me. So I will not do this or any of those other stupid lemming internet Covin challenges.

I suggest going to the PX and getting an Electric Clipper. You can cut your own hair. I know I do and have since 2008.

I never get the trend of planking or the ice bucket challenge.

How the Tartarus is that a challenge? Beards grow by themselves, the only part of the challenge is being lazy enough not to shave now that nobody's making you. That's like "challenging" somebody to breath in an out all day without stopping.

Lots of people have been conditioned to shave every day, and feel scruffy if they don't. Also, beards can be itchy if you don't know some tricks for getting around that.
 
Plus it can get really challenging to withstand the public pressure in that awkward time between the last shave and when beard grows to decent size.

OOOOOHHHH Really. Have you not seen some message boards with men who don't want to do the challenge being questioned on their Manhood for not doing it. Some people in the you must grow a beard crowd are pretty vile people.

What's that have to do with pointing out that growing a beard only requires you to quit shaving, making it a rather simple challenge?

Not to derail further but people are taking it too far on the internet. That is one of my problems with the whole thing.
