Carrot of Truth
War is Peace
When I was a kid I wanted to be known as "The road warrior", Some childhood dreams really don't need to come true.
Joke’s on you, nobody will be able to afford gas for car chases across the post-apocalyptic wasteland. When I was a kid I wanted to be known as "The road warrior", Some childhood dreams really don't need to come true.

I figured id I'm going by "The road warrior" I am probably just taking shit rather than paying for it.
what I don't get is what happened to the bikes.
A peddle powered bike is still going to work after society collapses.
Can you imagine master-blaster or that other generic big guy from the first movie with the oil well or that big dude with the mask from the last movie on a bike?Everyone forgets about bicycles, Heck for personal transport around a town they'd even beat even a horse.
Using Bicycles in a Resource Poor Post-Apocalyptic Setting was the Main Concept behind the Movie Turbo Kid.
It was an excellent film if you are wondering.

I think that most people assume that nuclear war would danage the roads to a degree where bicycle use would be unfeasible.I think I tried watching that film awhile back but couldn't get into it for whatever reason. That said Harry Turtledove loves having everyone ride bicycles in his works especially in Worldwar, Its not quite post apocalyptic but aliens invading during WW2 turned most of the US into a nightmare.

Dunno, I'd assume that any invading force would want to crater roads and hit major transport junctures.Clearly they never took bikes off road. Like even if the roads were fucked up to some degree it still wouldn't be an issue to just get off and push it through the rough patches. Like I doubt even a nuclear exchange would even destroy much beyond cities and I wouldn't wanna be near those anyway.

Bikes aren't something I have seen much in rural areas, myself.
