Sooooo...gentlemen...how bad do we think this one is going to be? Out of ten. Because I think we ought to settle in for a breathtakingly shit decade. Clown decade indeed.
.
How much will that fuck up the engines?
Really depends on how much the economic problems cascade. If they start rolling the avalanche may create another lost decade for most of the world.Like, 2, maybe 3 tops. It's certainly going to be disruptive and messy, but the worst issues are energy related, because the democrat's energy policies are completely insane, and they keep pissing off our allies in the middle east by trying to buddy up with Iran for some incomprehensible reason. Fix those problems, and they'll keep a lid on the worst of the economic damage.

There is a economic cost to Ethanol beyond will it damage engines and that is you can't eat what you turned into fuel. Corn grown for ethanol competes directly with food grown for human and livestock production as it grows on the same land. We're already looking at higher food prices so of course Biden wants to make that worse too. Can't come up with a solution that could actually help in some way, nooo, gotta be extra stupid.
Oh, I know, I grew up in Illinois and we love us some corn there (though nowadays its soybeans that is the top crop). Ethanol is a fine way of giving money to commercial farming outfits and looking like you are doing something green all the while making it actually worse as that corn is grown using hydrocarbon based fertilizers and fuel while (as I said above) making food more expensive to boot.Ethanol from corn is also HORRENDOUS from a economic standpoint. Corn is already a subside heavy crop in the USA thanks to a almost century old "temporary" fix by FDR to stop the Great Depression that became a permanent fixture, and when actually turning it to fuel grade ethanol it wastes even more money cause it's not really that rich in sugars to turn into alcohol.
Ethanol from, say, Cane Sugar like in Brazilian green fuel is far FAR better economically speaking. But that is just gonna make more problems as you would be paying to import Ethanol from Brazil into the USA. Which I would love, don't get me wrong, but for the USA it's not that good of a deal.
It's another palliative "sounds good doesn't work" measure.

And butter.Pig fat for the win!
Actually, real butter isn't a problem as long as you don't go nuts. The fake stuff however, that'll kill ya'.And butter.

Good news for my retirement grease.Stock up on your cooking oil.
I guess I was under the impression that it was preferable for fuel-injected engines since it helps clean the injectors.@Simonbob is right. Ethanol kinda eats your engine components.

The bummer is, most gas stations where I live do not offer regular unleaded without ethanol anymore, even during summer.
