I know you guys don’t like me pointing out stuff to do with entertainment, but I believe it’s a sort of a “microcosm” to do with how the Far Left influences and rules things and how it can hurt those involved and why it takes so long to beat

And yeah, I can sort of agree with comparisons between the nerds and jews as victims who are both “too strong and too weak” at the same time

I think this is missing one of the main reasons that they go after nerds: Nerds are the least racist and sexist people on earth. Most nerds if they are not outright transhunanist, have transhumanist leanings. To a trans-humanist, people are not defined by their flesh and blood. People are luminous beings, minds capable of creation that would be equal if not greater should they think with silicon and electricity rather than flesh and blood.

The transhumanist is the anti-thesis of the leftist that demands that they acknowledge their sexual and racial privileges. That is why they hate nerds.

 
They went after Nerds because Nerd culture is a white thing, and specifically a white male thing. It’s control of all social spheres and elements of society. Gamer gate was the Bongos trying to muscle into nerd communities.

Nerd culture was birthed, nurtured, and matured, as a space that wanted to be left alone by people who looked down on its participants. It only took 5-10 years from video games going mainstream, for the radical left to take over the sneering condescension and villification role that the stereotypical jocks and preps of 90's and earlier cliches had held.

'Just leave me alone' culture is much more strongly linked to conservatism than leftism.

I’d say more Libertarian than Conservative, not exactly prudes when it comes to sex and violence, and probably not so obsessed with being “trendy” like the hipsters who want to essentially brag about how “nice” they are

BLM & ANTIFA riots hit some stores selling stuff like tabletop minis as I recall, or comicbook shops, before

I think it wouldn’t be too out-of-character for the slightly less destructive “protestors” to bother guys just playing a game or talking to one another about their hobby and forcing them to “raise their fists” and join

There may come a time where "nerds" feel sort of paranoid and have to make their spaces "secret" or "private" as possible and only hope the ones with the worst sorts of personality types and time schedules don't take over

When you learn from a very young age that the people with 'authority' simply do not care about you at all you learn very quick that you need to solve your own problems.

Leftism hates Nerds cause its filled with men and they hate men + it had GamerGate and the left are eternally butthurt about it.

Feminism which is leftism pushes for the annihilation and infiltration of male groups so leftism turning on Nerds was inevitable.

it is an isn't nerd culture.
Like parts of Sci Fi, one of nerds biggest areas has Star wars, slowly recovering from said woke, and Star trek getting hit harder by it.
We can look at Fantasy and well. It has relatively stayed untouched as far as I can tell.

True nerd culture has only been hit by the left a little bit, with Anime being one of the bigger bonding moments between nerds and non nerds. I know plenty of people that watch it and not all are nerds and I am the nerdiest of them all.

It is a weird devide

Oh Fantasy has been hit hard by wokeness; particularly in the literary sphere. Just look at what happened to the Hugo Awards.

As for anime; the regressive left was able to claim dominance over that medium here in the west for well over a decade. Nearly every institution involved in the distribution, marketing, and discussion of anime -from Funimation, to Anime News Network, to Youtubers like Mother's Basement- seems to care more about pushing their ideology than anything else. It's only been recently that people who care about anime in and of itself have begun speaking out against the ideologues who clearly don't.

Remember how they squealed like stuck pigs about The Rising of the Shield Hero and Goblin Slayer? Didn't stop those shows from climbing to the top of the popularity rankings. ANN might be regarded as somewhat useful in translating Japanese press releases about new shows and whatnot, but when it comes to their opinions? Very few actually care what they think.
