United States US presidential election 2024

The media that looks at it doesn't understand consequences, nor do most of their readership.

So destroying an animal that has attacked what its supposed to protect looks like horrible behavior to them. Why wasn't the dog released like all the other criminals the Left loves?

Because she wasn’t high on ‘empathy’ and ‘understanding’.

Both of which are nice things, but like anything taken too far leads to nonsense.

What exactly did the dog do to get whacked ?
I haven't viewed the source material, which will be released May 7th, but per an AP article:
"In her soon-to-be-released book, "No Going Back: The Truth on What's Wrong with Politics and How We Move America Forward," of which The Guardian obtained a pre-release copy, Noem writes that she took Cricket on a bird hunting trip with older dogs in hopes of calming down the wild puppy. Instead, Cricket chased the pheasants, attacked a family's chickens during a stop on the way home and then "whipped around to bite me," she wrote.

"Noem's spokesperson didn't immediately respond to questions from The Associated Press about whether the dog actually bit her or just tried to do so, or whether Noem had to seek medical treatment. The book's publisher declined to provide AP an advance copy of the book."

Apparently there have also been rumors that she in fact killed the dog in "a fit of anger" and this may have been an attempt to dispel or get in front of those.

I know practically nothing about training dogs, but "the puppy was wild so I took it hunting" seems like a risky decision. The American Kennel Club says that one-on-one training from the hunter is preferable to getting on-the-job training from more experienced hunting dogs. If anyone here has relevant expertise I'd love to hear their analysis.

An individual reporter might be learned enough to understand it. That doesn't mean they wont pretend ignorance, in order to use it to brand a Republican as a Puppy Murderer.
Nonetheless I am a bit disturbed by this. Why? Because any Republican who hasn't spent the last few decades in a coma should know as much. So why I don't consider her a Puppy Murderer I am concerned about her lack of judgement and got to wonder how many other such opportunities she might be handing the media on a silver platter in the future.

Question from the other side of the pond: Are the Democrats panicking yet about the prospect of the current Hamasjugend rallies leading to a repeat of the 1968 DNC convention and winning Trump the election?

Basically the dog flipped & went nuts. Noem had no choice but to shoot it.

As far as I know, there is worry that young voters (esp. college students) will be too angry at Biden's actions and/or inaction to participate in GOTV activities and this will depress turnout in a demographic that is normally extremely lopsided in favor of Dems. I am not aware of worry that the convention will be assailed by riots that threaten to tear the party asunder.

‘GOTV activities’?
