Alternate History Republic of Salo - from 194? to 1919

The idea of a Republic of Salo ISOT was mooted on Ah.com.
IMO novel
San Marino and Vatican are not affected as they do not make part of RSI. Wehrmacht does not come along either (even in the north and northeast), as ROB puts up a "non Italians need not apply" sign.
Would there be a difference if RSI is from late '43 and late '44/early '45? Besides the former having twice the territory and also erasing 1919 Rome with Gov't, King etc., that is. But how does popular support, partisani strength etc. differ?

Question for bonus shit and giggles - when in 1919? Before or after ToV is signed?
Especially if this is '44 RSI - with DT Rome not affected - I'd expect it to be attacked. With France and Britain almost certainly also lending troops.
Could the RSI survive, with possible end of intra-Italian strife and unity versus a hostile world of 1919?
Still, conquered by the Mezzogiorgno or not, North Italy is left with the most advanced industry in the world ...

They had some modern weapons,but little army/3 divisions,i think/ so,they would be crushed,and Allies would discover about WW2.

Congrat,you just prevented WW2 and maybe even soviets,becouse Allies here would simply divide Germany into smaller states and made only prussians pay for war,and they certainly send more help to whites.

Poland - when we discover our future,we could finish off soviets,too - USA and France offered us help for that.Certainly kick Piłsudzki from power.

Japan would never leave Siberia here.

P.S Italian factories - they made/in small numbers/ modern fighters like Fiat G.55 and tanks like P.40.

The autumn '44 version almost certainly would - small, with major internal unrest, with the tr00 Italian Gov't in Rome, but the autumn '43 variant?
In control (?) of most of the country and without the 1919 Authorities around? If Benito plays his cards right I suspect that it might be recognised as legit by the DT GPs.

Benito supposed to be british agent after or during WW1,so.....possible,if he use his contacs.

Anyway,if he was french agent,then in 1919 could made deal even more easily - peace for technology and info about future.

I think,that as a result german states would be made free again,Prussia occupied,and soviets invaded.It should be much better world.

This is very interesting. Accidentally in the wrong sub-forum, but I won’t nitpick.

Placing the RSI in 1919 creates interesting possibilities and even if it collapses, will leave important residues. It would be even more if it were sent back mid WWI. Or a full century to the 1840s, where a “wank” would be possible unless somehow internal forces - moderates at heart in mid levels or grassroots of regime, or radical partisans, manage to overthrow Mussolini, the hardcore Fascist leaders and their enforcers in the middle and in the ranks.

1840? Italy rule Europe ! And here they do not even need to ask others for destroing Germany,becouse it not existed yet.
They could take Africa and part of Asia,too.
To be honest,if they really wanted,they could invade USA after 10-20 years,too.
