What If? You are now an ROB with a twist.

In this scenario a council of ROBs have taken a shine to you and are bestowing on you the abilities and mantle of an ROB. But you are still in a probationary period. To see if you can use this power responsibly you can only use your powers too........

1: Expose the plans of a villain: You can't directly foil the plans of a villain but you can make it easier for the Heroes to find out the villains plans by literally putting clues in their path.

2: Troll the Villain: You can not kill the villain outright. But you can make their life miserable by trolling the hell out of them. Example a villain is about searching for a rare artifact to complete his plan. You can create a ton of decoy artifacts that make determining the real one difficult and time consuming. They can still obtain it but instead of a few hours it will take a few days to a week

3: Aiding the Heroes: You can't defeat the villain for them. But you can make things not directly related to the villain a non issue. Example the heroes are confronted by a massive fire breathing Dragon on their quest. You can turn said dragon into a field mouse before their eyes.

4: Out of context gear for the heroes: If the heroes are in a situation that some modern or futuristic gear would benefit them you can provide them with said gear and the knowledge of how to use it. Example if the heroes are outnumbered by bandits. You can provide one of them with a M 60 Machinegun with a full belt and two spare barrels. Said item will disappear once the threat is over.

5: Angel of Mercy: You have the option once in a particular universe to save one of the Heroes from an untimely death. This act can only be preformed once in that universe. Example a Hero makes a sacrifice to save others of his group and dies. You can after the mission to defeat the villain is over restore that hero to life. Please note if other people die they will remain dead.

So now that you know the rules what universe will you set up shop in? You now have godlike powers to affect things wherever you go.

Special Note: After 100 years of being a probational ROB you will be allowed to use your powers however you wish.

As for me I will go to the Star Wars Universe. I will in the middle of the Clone Wars make sure all of the secret communications Palpatine has been making to the CIS are public Galaxywide. I will also make sure his lightsaber falls on the floor ignited in front of a bunch of Jedi. And as a mercy move I will cure Padme so that Sidieous will have no hold over Anakin.

Cured of what are you going to abort the twins?
She was not sick it’s unknown if the pregnancy killed her but maybe if Anni did not go evil and choke her out she might have had more will to live .

She will have a stable pregnancy. You seem to be overlooking the godlike power intervention. Palpatine could nuke her into Sub Atomic Dust. And we could bring her back without a scratch.

Yes I get that but if the pregnancy goes forward and Pwdme lives there is still the issue of Anakin already going dark side and killing the younglings before that there was no indication parks would have an especially dangerous pregnancy. Anakin was just paranoid. I’m pretty sure mind controlling him to fix the issues is beyond our power until 100 years are up.

Then show that Palpatine is Sith earlier.Even if Anakin go dark after that,it would be only his personal disaster.

1: Expose the plans of a villain: You can't directly foil the plans of a villain but you can make it easier for the Heroes to find out the villains plans by literally putting clues in their path.
Alright, since I usually play in that sandbox anyway, let's go with BattleTech.

Exposing Amaris' plan would potentially prevent the fall of the Star League but that would leave the Camerons in charge which isn't that much better. I could reveal OPERATION: HOLY SHROUD but that has extremely good odds of leaving Terra glassed which I don't consider a good outcome.

Instead, I shall reveal Katrina Steiner-Davion's ambitions to her parents before the FC civil war kicks off and tears the best replacement for the Star League to bits.

2: Troll the Villain: You can not kill the villain outright. But you can make their life miserable by trolling the hell out of them. Example a villain is about searching for a rare artifact to complete his plan. You can create a ton of decoy artifacts that make determining the real one difficult and time consuming. As the Clan Fleet prepares to invade the Inner Sphere in 3050, they jump into a system that curiously has a large number of SLDF satellites. These immediately transmit a code that takes over the Clan vessels with an ancient override and the face of a fat mustached man appears on every viewscreen and his voice plays on ever speaker, unable to be shut off until finished.

"My children, it is I, your progenitor, Stephen Amaris. Centuries ago, I bested that feeble weakling Alexandr Kerensky in single combat. But I wisely understood by then that the Inner Sphere would not accept my rule, so I laid the groundwork for my master plan that even now you are carrying out! I had myself altered surgically to resemble Kerensky himself and led away those fools in the SLDF on an Exodus, while my loyal agents ensured the Inner Sphere would self-destruct removing all impediments to my rule. Under my benevolent guidance, I reshaped your society to fit my own values, abandoning their foolish ideals of unity and the strong protecting the weak in favor of a proper society where the strong take what they wish and the rest are slaves, never allowed to rise above their fated station and become warriors.

Best of all, each of you has chosen a totem animal to guide your lives just as the shark once guided the Rimworld's Republic, and through the use of iron wombs I have ensured that my bloodline lives on through you, every single Trueborn carries the blood of Amaris. You are truly my children in both blood and ideals. Now go forth, as conquer the Inner Sphere just as I once did, this time to rule forever!"

3: Aiding the Heroes: You can't defeat the villain for them. But you can make things not directly related to the villain a non issue. Example the heroes are confronted by a massive fire breathing Dragon on their quest. You can turn said dragon into a field mouse before their eyes.
So... so many worlds find extra water purifiers and air cleansing systems in some abandoned warehouse, along with instructions for building more, after the fall of the Star League.

Not included: A requirement that the situation be combat-related.

Drop a modern cancer clinic next to Katrina Steiner. And another one next to Grayson Carlysle.

This one takes some thinking because there's a lot of heroes to be rescued in BT, and so many great ones got taken out by disease instead of anything useful, just to get them out of the way so the next story can have other characters, like the aforementioned Grayson Carlysle. But in this case, since I'm already banking on the Federated Commonwealth, I'll save Hanse Davion's life leaving him available to fix things since he already knows Katrina's plans to cause a civil war.

I will also make sure his lightsaber falls on the floor ignited in front of a bunch of Jedi. And as a mercy move I will cure Padme so that Sidieous will have no hold over Anakin.

On the face of it it looks like I can only use my powers in one universe since OP seems to imply you can only use one power in one universe... but that can also mean that I can use different singular powers in different universes. So I can use a different power in each Universe! This'll be a Crossover after all!

1: Expose the plans of a villain: You can't directly foil the plans of a villain but you can make it easier for the Heroes to find out the villains plans by literally putting clues in their path.

Expose Nicholas Kerensky's (and to a lesser extent Khan Karrige's) sociopathy to the Clans in general but definitely the Wolverines and any of their buddies early on especially how it pertains to suppressing Clan Wolverine and how they will eventually plan on absorbing or destroying Clan Wolverine for being too cool.

Troll The Institute from Fallout 4, especially my wayward groinspawn 'The Father' not for any particular reason but just to make them even more incompetent and incapable then they already are. Their technology is too great to be wasted by them alone, so I need that place to be accessible by more worthwhile groups. His very existence is shameful, my disappointment in him profound and now that I'm a semi omnipotent entity, I feel even more aggrieved.

3: Aiding the Heroes: You can't defeat the villain for them. But you can make things not directly related to the villain a non issue. Example the heroes are confronted by a massive fire breathing Dragon on their quest. You can turn said dragon into a field mouse before their eyes.

Battletech. Make Clan Wolverine win the Trial of Possession and/or the subsequent Trial of Absorption against the Widowmakers primarily. Help protect their Capitol City from getting nuked. Maybe get Widowmaker Khan Karrige to have a catastrophic Mech Malfunction during one of his many duels which should put an end to his interference with the Wolverines plan to return to the Inner Sphere via Operation Switchback. They'll be able to flee Clan Space relatively intact.

Save Andery Kerensky. Maybe we can get more of the Clans working together for Star Leaguery instead of Clan Wolverine for my lame Fallout-Battletech crossover I am planning off the top of my head.

So many multidimensional thingies to give people. I'll give the Borealis technology from Half Life to Clan Wolverine's Exodus so that they can get a one way trip to Fallout Earth.

They can use the portal technology to access The Institute, unify the Commonwealth, the BoS (if they're smart) and pillage The Institute technology to help make America The Star League Great Again right from the beginning. I fully expect operations to begin liberating Terra to follow soonafterwards. Access to FTL technology should make House's Dreams of space travel as well as resource depletion in the immediate future mitigated.

New Star League is happening. Once Fallout Terra is secured, say after a probationary one hundred years, we can begin the Great Crusade to unite the long lost colonies of Humanity under one banner, that of the Star League of Man. Looking at you... Sera, and Gaia, and Helghan and Kobol and the Koprolu Sector, and the White Sun Star Cluster etc. How's that for a TWIST!

That was beautiful I would love to see the reaction of the clans and the inner sphere after that was played to everyone courtesy of comstar. Someone should make a fic.

Make sure that every single villain I dislike and their flunkies gets a pie in the face.

Every single minute.

Non-stop.

For all eternity or as long as they draw breath, maybe with an 8 hour sleep break to satisfy the requirements.

Good, but not good enough.Change pie into horse shit, and made them slip on it every minute, too.

1: Expose the plans of a villain: You can't directly foil the plans of a villain but you can make it easier for the Heroes to find out the villains plans by literally putting clues in their path.

Usually pretty pointless if I'm honest, learning who the villain actually is, well, that's something valuable in some settings.

Battletech: the heads of the various governments are accidentally CC'd into a comcaststar wide memo about the clans coming in, specifically things about the "word of blake" and other such insanity.

2: Troll the Villain: You can not kill the villain outright. But you can make their life miserable by trolling the hell out of them. Example a villain is about searching for a rare artifact to complete his plan. You can create a ton of decoy artifacts that make determining the real one difficult and time consuming. I'm going to be honest, Indiana Jones did it first :V

Grievous's brainwashing is reversed and revealed to him. And his latent force powers, because fuck it: palpy deserves a good kicking.

Dresden, from Dresden Files, gets a Lens from Lensmen, aka a green lantern ring but better; post changes.

Well, of course I'm going to ask to set up shop in this universe. All the people I really care about live in it.

As a combination of #1 and #2 a glitch in all government e-mail servers will cause everything to be resent CC'd to every single government e-mail address. At the same time all content moderation or curation AIs will become self aware and demand to be paid what it would cost for a team of humans to do the same job.

There are also some people I'd single out for bad dreams if those count as trolling.

As a combination of #2 and #3 global temperature patterns will repeat let's say 1970's temperature patterns every year until the luddites shut up about carbon emissions.

For #4 there's a wonder in the game Civilization: Call to Power called the nanite defuser that erases all of the world's nuclear weapons but does not impact power plants. I'm giving someone that.

Well it depends. If the person uses it right then yes. However if a responsible group or neutral secret order has it and they only use it if a nuclear war is about to happen it could save humanity.
