I watched that, it kinda came across as Stewart acting unhinged and using the name of the Wuhan facility seemed more akin to what a "crazy conspiracy theorist" would say is evidence, ignoring the much stronger evidence of Sky News report in Australia from a couple of days back. In fairness, for all I know the segment could have been recorded before the Skyy News report.

In case anyone hasn't seen it yet:

Dr. Retard said:
“At the time, it was scarier to be associated with Trump and to become a tool for racists, so people didn’t want to publicly call for an investigation into lab origins,” Chan claimed in the interview.
Scientists rushed to downplay the possibility that the pandemic could have originated in the lab by publishing a letter in The Lancet that cast it “as a xenophobic cousin to climate change denialism and anti-vaxxism,” Vanity Fair reported. “The Lancet statement effectively ended the debate over COVID-19’s origins before it began.”
“To Gilles Demaneuf, following along from the sidelines, it was as if it had been ‘nailed to the church doors,’ establishing the natural origin theory as orthodoxy,” the report added. “‘Everyone had to follow it. Everyone was intimidated. That set the tone.'”
Former CDC Director Robert Redfield said this week that he believes that the pandemic originated in the lab and that those who moved to shut down the lab leak theory were “very anti-science.”

Which just shows what a useless partisan twat they are. Can you imagine letting the world burn over "being associated" with someone who's only considered to be bad thanks to the group you are wanting to investigate anyway?
Regardless of whether you agree with the reasons or not, you know full well that plenty of people strongly disliked trump for reasons that had nothing at all to do with China.

Yeah. People who lied constantly about him and kept pushing fake news talking points like "Grab them by the pussy," when he was describing groupies and the "Fine people on both sides," nonsense. "Find me the votes," when he wasn't asking them to find more votes for him but to properly audit the ballots. The newspapers had to put out a retraction when they realised they were liable from the leaked audio showing that was a load of bullshit. Or the "Sixty failed lawsuits," when his team had like four or five? I have no idea if it'll be in his life time but I'm pretty sure (or at least hopeful) that when people look back at this time, they see him for the unfairly-vilified victim he was in this whole debacle rather than a "fascist dictator" who somehow adhered completely to the rules and behaved as anything other than an authoritarian like his counterparts behaved like.

It's funny, isn't it, how he's being vindicated like those doctors admitting they refused to admit that the China Virus could have come from a lab because Trump pushed it. Or how that drug I can't be bothered to Google the name for would give people with the China Virus a better chance of surviving. How for about five years there's been nothing but a ceaseless and concentrated smear attack on him from the overwhelming majority of the media, social media and hypocritical democrats. I wonder why people think he's the second coming of Hitler. But I guess it's okay. No more mean tweets am I right?

Friendly Reminder: This is deliberately coming across as being solely being rude to incite a reaction. Do not do it again.

Do you think it's okay that they knowingly lied, said anti-science stuff in the middle of a pandemic, and banned any talk of stuff they knew was potentially true as misinformation, just because Trump was on the right side of the science?

That's monstrously evil. Who cares if people die or we cover for China. Trumps bad.

And you don't think Trump has ever engaged in harassment or bullying behaviour?

I'm sure he has been unfairly harsh, bullied even, people at various times in his life.

So that justifies 90% of the media establishment ruthlessly and relentlessly spreading known lies about him, and being so dedicated to destroying him that they literally suppress accurate medical advice because they refuse to let him be known for anything good?

So that's comparable to what was done to him, and the American nation and people as collateral damage?

What's particularly egregious about it, is there are worthwhile criticisms of him that they could have focused on. He did have affairs, he has perpetrated shenanigans in business deals that while legal, were not moral. There's all kinds of true criticisms that the leftists in the Democrat party and the media could have fought against him with, but instead they barely touched on those, before moving on to all kinds of lies.

People have died for those lies.

This is getting kinda wildly off topic. I will say that I never think one person or group engaging in bad behaviour ever justifies someone else behaving badly. I'm sure we could argue about who's worse and the reasons why different people did bad things, or about the effects of various things. This isn't really the time or place though, and I was simply posting to disagree with what seemed like an incorrect statement that people only disliked trump for reasons related to China. Since you suggested some yourself, I'm glad we can agree on my point and I'll leave it at that.

Nice deflect.

Still deflecting!

And you can't deflect anymore, so you declare victory and run away.
