That's already plainly apparent in this, given the great importance of heritage and bloodlines in both WoT and The Witcher. You simply don't have a society that is both ethnically diverse (The Two Rivers, Amazon) and reclusive and almost exclusively interbreeding for close to 2000 years (The Two Rivers, books). Also, the sort of casting they made based on ethnic stereotypes is doubly annoying since it goes completely against the grain of the world. The Borderlands, for example, have many culturally Asian-derived influences, but are not ethnically Asian. The same is true for the Seanchan (who, in turn, have a heavy Texan drawl). Anyway, too much to say, and I'm just on my mobile and on vacation. I'm still going to watch it since I get Amazon Prime, but I don't have high hopes.
Edit: One other thing that really doesn't fit, aside from all the woke problems is the ages of the Edmonsfielders. They all, each and every single of them, look too old. They should all be between 17-19, with Nyneave being in her mid twenties! The 'boys' here all look like they are well on their way to hit 30, with Matt - the most mischievous and boyish one - looking like a 30 y.o. hobo. If this manages to go on for more than one season the men are seriously in danger of starting to go grey and/or Bald, depending on their genetic disposition. 🙄😂
