Nobody has seemingly put effort into actually building anything, just cheering with Glee as everything gets burned down while chanting get woke go broke like it's some sort of mantra or spell. I get it we hate the left and want to see everything they built get burned down. Great, now can we start focusing on building something in it's place now or are we just going to sit on our hands while the left moves on to other fandoms and ruin those too?

You overlook the fact that most of us aren’t in a position to build anything when it comes to stuff like video games, comics, tv shows or movies.

People having been doing so. Just recently Eric July started a new comic company, and there have been others who have been self-publishing and doing pretty well. But just like any other alternative to a popular media, it is difficult to get traction.

Personally, I see it as pretty sad to see these things burn down, but I also don't see an alternative, short of someone buying the companies and doing a purge, which doesn't seem likely. Would you rather these woke businesses be supported and continue to pervert the franchises they've taken over?

You're not looking in the right places, or you need to adjust your expectations. You're not going to see some conservative billionaire fund his own hollywood blockbuster franchise or anything. People are writing non-woke stories such as David V. Stewart, Brian Niemeier.

You can also look to overseas stuff like anime, manga, Chinese xianxia novels, etc.

Stay away from reddit, twitter, and big discord fandoms. They're always cesspools.

On one hand I could write a whole list of reasons why it's completely understandable that it turned out like that, or like others I could point to some alternatives that some people are working on... on the other hand, I tend to agree. There's a terrifying lack of creativity and agency that afflicted anyone touched by our culture. At some point we have to cut our losses, and focus on building. Funnily enough, I think cards and dominoes could unironically be a part of the solution, rather than a dark vision of the future, as you imply.

Ages ago there was this meme: "No matter who you are, and what you're doing, you can take solace in the fact that somewhere out there, there's a 5 year old Chinese kid who's doing it much better than you ever will". I have a whole theory that social media is using that mechanism to sap us all of creativity, because every day you're flooded with clips of people doing amazing stuff, and making it seem like it's nothing. And for their part the audiences tend to flock to the 1% of top performers, reinforcing the dynamic even more.

But it warms my icy heart that you're working on something of your own. Be sure to shill when you're done, I'll be more than happy to throw money at you.
