Why is Communism idolized

I feel like the answer is kind of obvious, because it does a better job of hiding it's malice.

Their thinkers tend to be good at pointing out flaws in the current paradigm. Deconstructionism is their bread and butter after all, and the US is a country whose government once massacred striking workers.

The problem is their solutions simply don't work.

A common theme I notice with communists is their opponents tend to let them get away with the Nirvana fallacy, comparing capitalism in practice while running away from the actual realities of communism in practice.

Bring up the benefits of capitalism. Such as rise in living standards, innovation and whatnot, and they will run at your argument with a never ending barrage of demands for technicalities, whataboutism, pedantry, and liminal zones.

More importantly their followers are pretty much unconscious or in self-denial of their own malice. To them capitalism and just about all power structures, are not human systems, but abstract demons and forms that are to be exorcised from the collective consciousness.

My assessment is that communists are fairly good at being' technically right' in their debates. Its only when you zoom out do you see how wrong it is, hence why they've made it an art form to keep their opponents grounded in the minutiae of their arguments.

that's every ideology. It's called "The twenty-minute conversation" You want the biggest argument against democracy, talk to the average voter for 20 minutes, you want the biggest argument against monarchy/aristocracy to talk to the average nobleman for 20 minutes. you want the biggest argument against capitalism to talk to the average consumerist for 20 minutes (Aka a Disney adult) you want the biggest argument against communism talk to the average communist refugee for 20 minutes it's much easier to point out the flaws in other people's systems than it is to acknowledge the flaws of your own and figure out how to fix them.

I do think that American Capitalism will have its own black eye when future civilizations look back on us as there is a chance that Disney will be the face of "capitalism run amuck" they'll see IP laws, something that sounded great on paper but in actual practice was used by the government and their business friends to buy off, subvert, and manipulate the nation's culture both on a micro and macro scale, how the government was able to use the corporations to work around the law of the land and how capitalism was essentially used to justify flirting with borderline treason (Not treason by the standards of the constitution but treason by just about every other metric.)
Please note this is not me saying that the communist is right, what I am saying is that in the case of the modern West and America as we know it falling, whatever grows from its ashes will be...unpredictable to say the least. It will depend on how hard the pendulum swings and how much baggage from the previous era like academia carries on into the next era. I think you'll either see a rise in lase fair capitalism and demand for limited government at all costs...or the rise of fascism. I don't think there will be an in-between.

So I tried to find out, and this was the result:

Basically, it is a combination of naivety, desperation and hopelessness. But somehow I am not happy with that conclusion - I feel it is oversimplified, and I want a better conclusion than "people are morons".

So what do you think?
1.They win.If soviets was defeated by USA in 1945,as it should be done, and everybody saw their death camps, and their agents would go to prison - then they would be not idolizewd now.

2.Becouse they failed to genocide jews, only other non important people.

ome of them are pretty blatant about their malice.
That is undoubtedly true,

To give my perspective on it, for most of them I see it as a symptom of an underlying existential terror.

We are, here in the developed world, arguably the most interdependent populace in existence. With a hereto unprecedented access to cheap pleasure and leisure.

But at the same time the system places people in a bubble that sells them constantly on their ego. On being a rebel, a revolutionary, the persecuted sensitive soul in a world of soulless cattle. That they are different, deserve more and everyone else will just hold them down.

It's why for the most part they have a visceral hatred for anything which imposes limitations on their realities. Why they'll sneer at how every major and worthwhile philosophy and religion warns against using self-gratification as an end. While completely ignoring how many of them are stuck on the hedonic treadmill.

Or why they seemingly believe themselves to be counter-culture, when every corporation and media oligarch caters to their sentiments. Completely unaware that they are some of the most religious consumers in existence.

Why they'll simultaneous shriek and freak out every symptom of societal atomization. While pretty much sneering at just about any communal tradition, family values, social contract and civic faith. Why they believe in legislating everything, because any true meaningful unionization would require sacrificing their precious Reality Bubble.

I honestly could make a far far longer list of examples of double-think and why they exist, but it would quickly get tedious.

I don't entirely blame some of them. I have known people who were unjustly wronged and alienated from those things. Not that it makes it better, that destructive ideologies and trends don't come out of the aether is a given, and seeing other human beings as soulless NPCs is a path that leads to nothing good.

but doesin't that mean they are irnoically the very thing they hate so much. I mean aside from some very hardcore imperialist outthere I don't know of many people on the right that wants to impose superstrict rules on everyone else (Unless you count Don't castrate kids when they are too imature to understand the full ramifications of what they are doing and may change thier minds" in which case I don't know what to tell you)
they are the ones trying to deny pleasures like eating meat, having a property having children all because of it's "Bad for the environment according to their relgion" or "something something systematic racism."

Pretty much, yes.

having a property having children

I don't think you quite get it. Having children is not a pleasure for them. Raising a child is an effort that requires selflessness and a fulfillment that isn't about self-gratification.

The kind of good or fulfillment to be had in having kids is something they're becoming numb to. It's why many of them are such shit parents or anti-natalists. Or why we have such an epidemic of kids being raised by their screens.

Why would they care about child mutilation? Violating someone's personal reality bubble is worse than violating them physically.

A teenager saying the N-word is a threat of the highest order. But a teenager who loots a store or mugs an adult is obviously just a victim of circumstance and needs understanding and sympathy.

having a property
Given their views about the economy, it doesn't matter.

Even as an SJW I never trusted the affinity many in my social circle, in RL and online had for socialism.

To them, the economy is just an abstract concept. Numbers on a spreadsheet, a simulation on a screens, which only just needs to be moved around correctly in order to give them what they want.

They don't actually understand why property rights are so important the Liberal values they claim to be the heirs to.

For all that the WEF and Great Reset gets talked about here, outside of circles like Sietch, it is something that most people outside are just apathetic to or occasionally hear as background noise in a loud and chaotic infosphere.

if you don't get some sort of gratification out of watching your son or daughter give a haymaker a bully after training them in various martial arts from the time they could walk, or watch them hunt their first deer, or, tell their first mom/dad joke or play their first video game with you, etc. you're doing it wrong,

when will it cease to be abstract?

you're doing it wrong,

I'm not a parent but I do agree with you. I've tutored kids before, and having one kid I taught tell me that I helped him pass his multiplication test is always something that lifts my spirits.

when will it cease to be abstract?

The most likely answer is probably when we run out of other people's money.

But the future does not really like being predicted. So anything I say is purely just a guess.

It all comes down to class based jealousy, that’s why communism is idolized.
It's not even that, most communists are just people who *think* they ought to be in power. The Bolshevik Revolution wasn't some mass uprising of le oppressed workers and peasants, it was a coup launched by a small group of rabble-rousers who managed to get a local unit in St. Petersburg on side, facing an idiot who spent the time the Bolsheviks were using to ruthlessly take their hold on power dithering about what to do.

Exactly.Workers never made rfevolution, even sometimes made uprisings against it.
It is always groups of "enlinghtened" dudes who want save world by ruling it.

And,in theory ,they could be right - PolPot was removed after killing 50% of population, but if he kill 99%,then maybe we would have world paradise!

That is,by the way, goal of green marxist - remove 90% of ppulation. It would not work,of course.
