It really depends. Russia and China have some conflating interests (combat US influence in regions that were historically their spheres of influence)... However, Russian strategic interests have also historically involved containing China, and China seems to be seeking influence far beyond its traditional sphere (which, regardless of ideology, led to them both backing different countries in the whole India-Pakistan thing). Some would say even in Moscow's traditional sphere (Central Asia and Iran)
Trump has pushed through an executive order that punishes China and companies that support China's activities that infringe on Hong Kong's sovereignty and the safety of its citizens, then they talk about how the US government is probably breathing down Twitter's neck after it got hacked and almost certainly datamined.

China still wants to be around afterward and no one's entirely sure how capable Star Wars is these days. It's not worth the gamble. The CCP has known that this crackdown is inevitable, Trump is just slamming the accelerator faster than anyone else would. It's now a race to see if China's own rediculous financial system or America's angry choking hand will kill the CCP first.
