While true ideally they'll have an unstable succession. Then they'll spend time blood and treasure killing each other.

I’m admittedly not so sure about US Military capabilities, but I’ve always been of the opinion that they are “overkill” and are fighting guys who are more “guerilla” than one with proper fortresses and battlefields

We are but even guerillas have command structures. They're obviously more decentralized than a proper field army. They do exist though.

Unfortunately speaking it’s that very decentralization which is their strength

Hell, they could get recruits easily from non-Muslims who are even of middle to upper class because they want some dumb purpose in life

They’re an “idea” and so long as said “idea” exists, there will always be a successor unless the conditions for one are not prevalent enough

Oh, lovely. They've sent me a mo-ron.

It's an interesting topic to understand this gorilla warfare. Some do better at it while others fail thanks to factors that allowed them to succeed or fail.

For the Daesh, after fucking up so many people in their sphere of influence they're outliving their welcome.

And many of the useful idiots already went to them when they were at their most influential. Have to wait a period before the next ones are ready to arrive.

High chance of that but I don't know.

Their source of money and recruits have run low after much of the whole world fucked them up with so many of their personnel dead especially when they lack airpower.

Hopefully even without the US, the locals go and “deal with them”

If a Caliphate is ever to arise, it won’t be from them

The whole ideology of Islamic State seems to depend on being able to hold territory within which they can enforce their extreme ideology. Being reduced to a "pop up and kill people, then vanish" guerrilla movement is pretty much defeat for them.

It means to them that Obama was actually center right instead of far left and that Republicans that opposed him must have been far far far extreme right since they were against a center right person that they should have loved if they were actually conservative instead of radical right racists.

And it sucks that they have never actually had a "real" leftist president and they can't stand that those extreme right maniacs keep claiming that Obama was a leftist when he obviously never was.

Sigh. You see it all the times on other sites.
Claiming Obama was a moderate and the only reason Republicans didn't love him was racism.

Ugh.

If they do that, wouldn't that result in the left getting shredded up?

Terrorism is a sure way to lose popular support.

Yep.

Before Charlottesville happened they were getting destroyed. Massive unpopularity.

Then Charlottesville happened and ever since it's just been "antifa is fine. They've never killed anyone".

But If they start up again in earnest and riot after the elections like they did last time it will probably come down on them like a ton of bricks.

Especially if they're dumb enough to do actual attacks or something.

Nah, people will still remember and think on Antifa and Communism or Far-Left advocacy VERY fondly

It will take whatever occured to former and/or "current" Western-Communist Nations that have made them rather disliking of those types

I mean Russia from what I know, definitely has both a government and a people who look on at SJW's with confusion and looking-down-on-them
