No actually. If you checked through the postings during the summer, you'll find that in fact many here were extremely critical of how law enforcement was ignoring or outright escorting antifa Stormtroopers, while simultaneously having no qualms about arresting people for defending themselves and then making "Just following orders!" excuses.
Some were even predicting how that kind betrayal of those who always used to support law enforcement would eventually bite them in the ass, due to loss of trust and credibility.
Sounds kind prophetic now, doesn't it?

Except they are just following orders.
One has to think, these officers have lives, they have to pay bills. They cant just go "If I don't do my job nothing will be missed." And then they lose their pension, then they lose their families livelihood and well...it all comes crashing down HARD. Just like the military.
Sometimes morality takes a back seat to making sure your family can survive.
You then also have all of those shariff's saying they wont enforce those laws BECAUSE they are legally allowed to say that, and that they deem it unconstitutional. Those Shariff's are doing what they should. Hell, the one from my home county in GA is the kind that will not follow any state or federal laws he deems unconstitutional. I think it was the current or old one that said the federal government will not come into his county to take guns.

Which does not bode well for the cops standing in the way of ordinary citizens trying to do just that; ensure that their family survives. One can only hope that one of the cops doesn't do something stupid, and say; shoot an unarmed little girl in the back.

Thing is, I think lots of officers already hate themselves for what they’re doing and those trying to ignore what they’re being made to do, may be doing so in order to avoid having any suicidal thoughts and feelings

These officers are essentially being blackmailed into this

They know it won’t end well, but what can they do?

They’re all alone. Hell, they maybe afraid to talk about how skeptical they of what they’re being made to do because they know they’ll get fired sooner or later or be turned over to the mob for siding with “Nazis” and such.

Same may eventually apply to the Armed Forces

The current majority rank and file don’t buy into this stuff, but their bosses and higher ranking officers are in bed with those giving out those sorts of orders.

When they’re eventually made to start killing “Nazis” en masse, you may see breaks in that system, some people may go MIA or call in sick to avoid having to kill their own countrymen.

I’m not American or from The West, but to a degree, I can understand how Peer Pressure works and how little the individual can do against the collective

Hell, I can already bet that there’s a good chance most of your Law Enforcement and Armed Forces really could lower standards significantly in order to have a large number of “soldiers” to surround say the locals. Turn the rioters and gangsters and crazy college kids into “officers” and “soldiers” with legal power.

It’s not as if they’ll ever really have to deal with an actual Military Power in the future, just have to shoot some rednecks and bury em all in the fields.
