For those of you who don't know what it is, its essentially young lesbian romance drama genre in Anime.

For example, just this morning I got* Synergia, a "Cyberpunk thriller yuri visual novel", on Steam. It looked interesting, so I picked it up. God knows I'm waiting for Cyberpunk.

Anyway, enough about that. Do any of you read Yuri manga or watch Yuri anime or play Yuri VNs? If so, what got you into it?

If not, what makes you uninterested?

I ship Jill with Dana

And honestly, I do Yuri Ships in my mind even for non-Yuri series, in harem series of all things too

They’re technically legal and way past 18

I find it disgusting, but ultimately to each their own. I doubt those that are into it share my puritanical views anyway. Also, why are girls that are ripped and/or bulky always being portrayed as butch lesbians as of late?

Because it is apparently progressive to do so. Even though not scant years ago people were complaining about that very thing, which is a problem, less traditionally feminine girls do need their role models which is why I was keenly interested in Legend of Korra...before they had to ruin it by pandering to those fucking shippers. Took away a legitimate role model from young girls and gave it to a bunch of idiots on the internet.

In literature, I find it to be equivalent to yaoi. I will qualify that by saying that I tend to find romance and social drama in literature to be rather dull, so yuri generally just seems like a more hamfisted and displeasing version of it.

It depends entirely on the skill and self awareness of the author. Though quite frankly any work of literature where romance is not a major factor cannot be considered to be realistic.

Fuck your puritanism. Sorry, I'm morally obligated to say that.

This is a thing? Ripped girls should be more likely to be straight.

I personally like it since I'm a hot-blooded male who thinks girls going at it is hot. Don't mind the concept of yaoi as long as you don't force it in my face. There is one thing both genres have that makes my blood boil though...

The obnoxious fandoms and shippers that plague them. Mostly the shippers. The crazies will do their hardest to crucify you if you step out of line from their special snowflake headcanon and have an annoying habit of banding together to harass you.

A lot of people I know have very little interaction with romance, hence it can easily be said to be realistic, just not to people like you. Socially awkward people, busy people, disinterested people, asexual people, etcetera, many types of people find the requirement for shipping in literature to be pointless and comparatively unrealistic, as it fails to reflect their reality.

In the military, the more fit women are often straight.

as for this, I am fine with Yuri if it is realistic, and not ham fisted like Korra was for example

Lesbians are depressing. Thankfully, the staggering majority "realize" they were "never really lesbians" and start chasing cock like a starving coyote after a few years.

But those poor girls who realize too late.

Those poor, poor girls.

Korra is and always was a violent retard who abuses everyone around her. She isnt, and never was, a role model. But the fact that Korra is massively abusive towards Asami is a pretty based writing decision and very accurate.

"I dont mind the degeneracy, just the completely unrelated totally coincidental bad behavior that just happens to explode in frequency when it's celebrated"

Their reality is broken, they should try and fix it.

Yaoi is hollow, endlessly formulaic drivel for little girls with self esteem issues. Bara is for actual gay men. The market research bears (snrk) this out.

Do you actually not know? Think about it really, for a moment, why does media (which is 99% lefty swill) portray female strength as inherently lesbian?

In the military, the women are often pregnant.

Korrasami was realistic though. An abusive relationship between two women that generally fuck men.

I was bringing up my ex as she is Pan and will be with either sex.

As for military, you are wrong. Since I have been in, the amount if females I have met that have had kids os low. Out of every female in my platoon, only one has been pregnant recently.

Eh Korrasami were the fandoms dream because "REPRESENTATION!". They did not fuck mem after, and really had no reason to not be with men out of good reasoms
