What If? What Force powers would you like to have?

What if ROB made you a Force user one day and let you have the choice of choosing 5 Force powers. What force powers would you choose and why?

If I choose mind control five times, does that make me five times as good at it?

Because if this lasts for one day only, I'm going to forego all the personal fun, and I'm just going over the capital (thank heavens that I live in a small country). Once there, I'll "persuade" the government and parliament to immediately execute some drastic reforms... of the kind that will be very hard to reverse afterward.

(If this lasted longer than a day, I'd be way more subtle about all this, and fine-tune it all to get the best results. But you know... work with what you get.)

As such, thanks to my fabulous mind tricks, we'll have a busy day ahead. I could go into detail on what I'd actually do, but that barely matters to this thread. I'm sure all of us would, at times, like to fix a few serious problems with the political system. If only we could somehow get it done...

Well. That's what I'd use this unexpected opportunity for.

One day with only five powers?

Sith Alchemy (Regular Alchemy if available) and solid precog to know what's best to use it on. Not sure how much can be done in only one day but hopefully either give myself some decent enhancements or at least upgrade my cars/home/assorted stuff to do amazing things.

Not much can really be accomplished in only one day with the force.

One day with only five powers?

I think he means "One day" as in "one day, I got a letter in the mail" and not "this happened for one day".

For my list:

Telekinesis, Force Lightning, Shatterpoint, force speed, and whatever force power palapatine used to get laid despite the whole screwed up wrinkly face thing.

Ah, well I feel dumb, you're right that makes much more sense.

Hmm, in general I'll want powers that do things you can't do normally, f'rex Force Lightning is cool but I can just carry a gun if I need to blast somebody, and Tapas is basically redundant with wearing a high-quality jacket so total utility is improved if I pick something else and carry a gun and jacket.

I'm going to start with Altus Sopor. While this is a serious tradeoff as 20% of my powers are used up, it makes the remaining 80% much more powerful and it does have a stealth function I probably won't use much. I guess that makes it quality over quantity.

Force Healing is way too useful to pass up and rapidly repairing wounds is something you won't find anywhere else.

Force Body turns me into a superhero and most notably lets me survive things that would otherwise kill me, so very high synergy with Force Healing. I won't use it all the time but it's both a decent quality of life enhancement to be strong, healthy, and fit; and the kind of thing that, if I need it in an emergency, I will really, really need it.

Precognition is something I'll use constantly. There's just no beating it. Top notch pick.

I only get one more choice thanks to blowing one choice on making myself more powerful. I'm tempted by Tutaminis as a power that is quite nice in a pinch but I think I'll pass and hope Force Body will suffice if I'm caught in a house fire. I'm also tempted with Sith Alchemy to become a crafter but I'm a whee bit nervous that doing so on a permanent basis will leave me vulnerable to the Dark Side (I have no idea why crafting stuff is a dark power but whatevs). Instead I'm going with Force Ghost. Why not go on as an immortal? The new movies even give Force Ghosts the ability to pick stuff up, call lightning bolts from the sky, and the like so I can probably apply all my force powers just as before.

How many force abilities are demonstrated in the George Lucas films? There is, off the top of my head: mind manipulation, precognition blocking, focused aiming, sticking around as a ghost and talking to people in their heads, sensing other force wielders from a long distance away, lifting/pushing/pulling objects, lightning, and... that's it, I think.

I'd go for the mind control/Jedi mind trick. Mind manipulation is such an amazing OP power. You can walk into a bank and mind control the guards to not pay attention/let you off the hook, mind control the managers into giving you money. You could go to a business negotiation and mind control the other side into agreeing to your terms or doing what you want. You could do anything, really. My first pick.

Object manipulation like lifting/pushing/pulling is flashier, but of much more limited use. Maybe I could get a really good paying job helping a construction company out by lifting heavy blocks of stone or machinery at construction sites. Or you could become a super hero or a super soldier. But that's just a lot of personal power. You wouldn't really have the power to affect an entire country or the world, like you can with mindcontrol.

A total creep
Force Choke - for when I'm threatened with violence. Also, "I never touched him, Your Honour" :)
Mindwash - to cover up my fuckups and for all sorts of "lie, cheat, steal and borrow" situations
Force Heal - for when I stub my toe or something ... or my poor liver finally dies on me
Telekinesis - for those "when in need of yet one more hand/tongue/whatever" moments - handy for summoning "just out of reach" tools or for sexual stimuli of hard-to-reach spots ...
Precognition - for picking lottery numbers and GF's fertile days ...

Banned - Politics
Telekinesis - for manipulating things from a distance. Like, locking my front door without using the keys and vice versa opening. Or if someone tries to mug me I can just bonk them on the head a few times with a rock; because I didn't touch the rock, there's no DNA footprint.

Mind Trick - To manipulate people into giving me what I want. Like gaining access to Area 51 by mind tricking the sentries.

Force Heal - To patch myself up just in case I screw up badly one day. You never know when you'll need it.

Sith Alchemy - For engineering my personal army of Sith War Beasts. I could probably make an actual Hydra if I wanted, with heads that spat acid, breathed poisonous gas, or breathed fire.

Precognition - For lottery jackpot numbers and other important future events. Or like @Buba said, figuring out you're GF's fertile days.

Force Heal, Mind Trick, Precog, and Telekinesis are the most practical and subtle for day to day life while not drawing attention to myself.

Top it off with the cherry of Force Ghost (especially given the gamechanger Rise of Skywalker introduced) for essential immortality.

If there are others given Force powers, I sub out TK for Force Drain.

I'm not all that familiar with what the force powers are actually called, but I would be quite happy with the following:

- precognition
- mind trick
- telekenesis
- the choke thing vader does

I'm not sure if I need a fifth power to avoid trouble or get out of trouble when trouble comes-a-knocking. For a fifth power, I could cause all sorts of mischief if there's one which lets me will objects into existence out of thin air.

If i had force powers, they would be.

1. Mind Trick
2. Precognition
3. Force Speed.
4. Force Healing.
5. Telekinesis.

This to keep out of trouble or attracting it. Speed to get somewhere fast.

base on the wording of op, i believe they meant for the rest of your life, since they say one day not for one day

mind tricks-cause being able to control people is nice and powerful and making people have false memories can be very good

Alter Image- so i can disguise myself when im doing bad stuff or weird stuff in general cause you dont want people to know you did it

force healing- so i can heal myself and others

Flow-walking- so i can change the past, present and future

Drain Knowledge- why learn when you can easily gain a knowledge or skill by stealing it

No love for Fold Space? Instant teleportation any distance is a huge advantage. Especially combined with precognition so that you know a threat is coming. Dark Transfer means both healing and immortality, and even self resurrection; so that's a must.

Telekinesis is always nice. Hmm, do we automatically have the requisite force senses to be able to take advantage of various force abilities, or do we have to take a Force Sense power?
