Do ya'll really need to jump on the "sock" bandwagon when a person literally has only posted their first message and you have zero posting history or evidence to go off of?
Let @filipina84 establish some history and if she is a sock, it will readily become apparent from the posting style and if not, we didn't drive away a new member because people want to jump the gun on a person's very first post.

It's not just that we are jumping to Sock.
We already thought @49ersfootball and his cousin were sock/bot accounts, and then coincidentally once he gets banned, BAM, his "wife" shows up.
Just an odd coincidence is all.
I don't even CARE about banning sock accounts or anything. I'm not trying to get anyone kicked off the site. If you recall, we dont hav a sock account rule here, and the staff utilizes sock accounts themselves. If you want 5 sock accounts, go for it. But I'm still calling this out as suspect.
@filipina84 I am perfectly happy to welcome you here and hope you stay and participate. EVEN THOUGH I think you're just 49ers with a new account. Stick around. Have fun. You're welcome here as far as I'm concerned, but I don't make those decisions.

OK, the Boot is putting it's sole down. Speculation about whether or not a poster is a bot is not appropriate. If you feel that a particular poster might be a bot, report said poster to the mods. The mod staff has tools that they can use to check for such things.
Tools that a toddler can circumvent.
But consider this me reporting it, then.
Though as I have mentioned, it's not even against the rules here, is it? The staff do it themselves.
So why would I even consider reporting, when I can just talk to the user and squash it? I even said to Filipina that I hope she sticks around and stays active even though I think she's just 49ers with a new account.
Your tools for detection are hilariously easy to circumvent, and if she's actually his wife. She's probably setting some of them off anyways.

I thought that was open knowledge? It was openly discussed and known, when we founded the forum.
It's so they can participate in discussions without their mod status influencing anything.
Personally, as I said, I don't care about sock accounts. If they're against the rules, I was not aware, and don't support that rule. Realistically we are all a bunch of anonymous faces behind our internet names. I don't CARE if someone has sock accounts, as far as rules go, which is why I would never report. What I would like to do is chat with the users. But yeah, I'll keep that to PMs for now on since the owner doesn't like THAT kind of free speech.

Probably has more to do with a Welcome thread being flooded with circular bickering about new users being bots with no real context available to casual observers. Not the best optics but whatever.
