Of course it does.

But does it matter really?

As long as Disney donated enough money to the Democrats, they won't get charged.

Just like SNC Lavalin and Justin "Blackface" Trudeau
One minor problem...

Disney has a huge (and from my understanding growing) corporate presence in Florida...

You think DeSantis wouldn't like to scalp the Mouse for going Woke? If he could manage that he probably would walk away with the 2024 R Presidential nom...

Shrug. When they passed the law making it illegal to deplatform Florida politicians, I read through it. There was a special exemption in there (starting at line 470 in the link) that made the law non-applicable to any company that owned a theme park, so the mouse was safe. If Disney got an exemption there, I don't see why they'd have trouble getting it elsewhere.

"Fuck you, gib us your children so we can brainwash them!"
That cunt can just keep her mouth running, show everyone what kind of "person" she really is.

Wouldn't be the first time in history the child has turned their back on the father. While I don't know the personal politics of Walt or Roy, I don't think they'd appreciate thier company ruining the good will of thier customer base it's a bad business decision and it goes against the vision of what Walt wanted, a place for everyone to get away from the rat race, andnd inspire imagine and inovation This is the same man that tried to protect his mouseketeers from the Hollywood "lifestyle" and whom's magnum Opus was Epcot (which was sadly never realized)

If I'm reading this correctly, the wokeness in Disney goes down to the root. Roy and Walt were betrayed by their own descendants.
This is a very common thing and has to due with how elite culture works. Disney himself came from an immigrant middle class background and became a self made millionaire with his entertainment empire. As he came from that kind of background he supported middle class values, rather than the elite's values. However, his children and especially grandchildren, due to his success, we not raised as members of the middle class, but as members of the wealthy elite, and so absorbed their ideals and values and desire for elite approval.

Walt was a strongly anti-communist and anti-labor union person in his day. Pretty sure he was even a Republican, given his origin and background, it would fit.

He was also a massive control freak, which ultimately culminated in his plans to build a city that I'm almost certain later inspired the city of Rapture in Bio Shock.

Frankly part of me really wants to know how Epcot would have turned out if it had gotten fully realized. Maybe it's just the creative freak in me but I would be interested if such a City could be sustainable. It's seemed to work in small scales like Hersheyville, and having the world's greatest minds in a single area could have meant a major technological and economic boom for the U.S.

I wouldn't trust post Walt Disney with such a project though.

Or a whole lot of "my brain is bigger than yours" bickering that goes nowhere because very smart people often operate on what could be called intuition or instinct that's not easy to explain quickly beyond "I know I'm right. I'll work out the details as they come up."

Behind all the high-concept flash though, what Walt Disney was proposing to build was essentially just an upscaled and repackaged company town; which have a well-earned negative reputation in this country.
