So I have a website, which I made back in like the mid-2000s, and I would like very much to keep it up and running. The problem is, my host is updating their servers to the latest and greatest version of PHP, apparently, and this results in basically anything other than basic characters displaying as diamonds with question marks in them. Naturally, I asked my host for help on this problem, but the best they can do is reset my site to an earlier version of PHP, and they've let me know this is only temporary. They otherwise have no idea how to solve my problem as far as updating my site to work on newer versions of PHP.
So my question is this - has anyone else had or seen this kind of a problem, and do you know the solution for it?
